| Drama in Education has become a new teaching method in recent years.It has attracted considerable attention from researchers both here and abroad.It has become a focus of concern in Junior High Schools.With the acceleration of the new curriculum reform process and the renewal of modern teaching ideas,more and more developed areas have realized the diversification of oral test.However,the traditional idea of paying more attention to written test and less attention to oral English in rural Junior High Schools is common.Therefore,oral English teaching in the current rural Junior High School is facing great challenge.This study aims to apply Drama in Education to oral English teaching and explore the influence of Drama in Education on improving the oral English level of Junior High School students in rural areas.This paper mainly focus on following questions based on the constructivism and multiple intelligence theory: 1.How is Drama in Education applied in the current oral English teaching of Rural Junior High School?2.Whether Drama in Education can effectively improve the oral English level of Junior High School students in rural areas?3.Whether Drama in Education can effectively enhance students’ interest in English?In this study,96 students in two classes of a Junior High School in Shouzhang Town,Liangshan County are enrolled in one semester experiment.It combines experimental method,interview and questionnaire survey method.During the teaching intervention,the author takes each unit in the textbook as a node.It divided into four stages.According to the stages of Consolidate the foundation-Follow the book-Migrate and perform-Innovative performance,they are all interrelated.The main findings calculated by SPSS 25.0 are as follows: Drama in Education can create a good teaching effect in English classroom.Students’ English learning attitude becomes active.It can promote the development of students’ oral English level,but also can enhance students’ English learning interest.To a certain extent,Drama in Education also can enrich the rural teachers’ oral English teaching method.Due to the limitation of time and other resources,there are still some shortcomings in this study,such as the failure to control the students’ extracurricular autonomous learning. |
