An Analysis Of The "Painting" Factors And Performance In Glazunov’s Three Miniature

Wassily Kandinsky,a famous Russian painter,said: “There are distinct similarities between painting and music.” Although music and painting are different in their ways of expression,they constantly absorb and learn from each other in the process of development,forming a unified and harmonious whole.“Painting” reflects the creator’s era background,personal style and emotional expression.In the field of music,many composers apply it to their creation,which widens the space of music creation,enriches the aesthetic experience of music,and promotes the development of music art.Alexander Glazunov is one of the representatives of the Russian music sect.His work,Three Small Portraits,is named after the paintings and depicts the scenes in life,reflecting his pursuit and yearning for a better life.The work consists of Pastoral,Polka and Waltz,which skillfully combines music and “painting” factors to achieve painting in sound and emotion in sound.This paper discusses the works from by using the methods of literature analysis,analysis.The introduction section covers the basis of the topic,research significance and research status,and summarizes the relevant materials.In the main body,the first chapter combs and explains the concept of “painting”,the relationship between music and painting,the “painting” factors in music and their corresponding relationship;The second chapter introduces the author’s life and the creative background of the Three Small Portraits,and analyzes the shaping of “painting” factors in the works from the respects of musical form,harmony,mode and melody;The third chapter,combining the above analysis with my own performance experience,analyzes the performance skills and painting artistic conception of the works from the parts of speed,strength,melody,harmony and rhythm.In the conclusion part,the research content is summarized,hoping that the research of this paper can provide reference for players,and enhance the understanding of the music connotation of the Three Small Portraits.
