Take Root In The Green Mountain

Documentary is a film and television expression that processes the real stories in the society artistically.As an important branch,character documentaries tend to focus on "people" themselves and show their care for "people".With the development of the society,the creators pay more and more attention to the ordinary people.By recording the life state of the ordinary people,they reflect the social reality and the changes of times,and convey the humanistic care.My personal work "ROOTED IN THE GREEN MOUNTAINS",which is a character documentary,tells the story of Peng Bin,a forest ranger at the state-owned forest farm in Henan Province.As one of the second generation of forest rangers,Peng Bin has guarded Huangbai Mount for40 years.He has not only devoted his life to the mountain,but also hopes that his son can inherit this responsibility and pass on the spirit of forest protection.The contradiction between father and son about "going or staying" is the specific performance of the intergenerational inheritance between the forest rangers,highlighting the close connection between personal destiny and the responsibility of times.This paper,based on my personal work "ROOTED IN THE GREEN MOUNTAINS",is elaborated from five parts.The first part mainly expounds the background,innovation and purpose of the work;The second part expounds the concept,developing process and basic characteristics of character documentary,and this part combs the research status of domestic character documentary literature and the research of character documentary works at home and abroad;The third chapter mainly expounds the Creative and practical process of "ROOTED IN THE GREEN MOUNTAINS" from the three aspects of preliminary preparation,mid-term shooting and post-editing,and it introduces the story outline of the work;Through the analysis of narrative strategies,the fourth part expounds how to use the theoretical guidance to create "ROOTED IN THE GREEN MOUNTAINS" from four aspects: narrative theme,narrative method,narrative structure and narrative language;The fifth part reflects on personal works,summarizes the difficulties and deficiencies en countered in creation,and expounds the creative experience..It is hoped that through my personal works and the elaboration of this article,more people can pay attention to the profession of forest ranger and feel the difficulty behind ecological development.
