Research On The Presentation Of The Image Of The Yellow River In Documentarie

This paper focuses on the "Yellow River theme documentary",guided by narratology,image communication,media image and other related theories,using text analysis,comparative analysis and other research methods,and selects the representative related Yellow River theme documentary to conduct a cluster study,combing out the changes of the Yellow River image in the documentary.By thinking about the social relations behind the image changes,we can grasp the spiritual core behind the image of the Yellow River and the theme of the times we want to express.Since the founding of the People’s Republic of China,due to the long-term influence of the Soviet Union’s film tradition and the propaganda standard consciousness of our media,the Yellow River theme documentary mainly carries the mainstream ideological communication function in its creation,and has its own style of the times in different historical stages.From the perspective of vertical time,there are obvious differences in the construction characteristics of the image of the Yellow River in different historical stages.It is mainly manifested in five time nodes: the pre-liberation period(1905-1948),the propaganda period(1949-1977),the humanistic period(1978-2000),the transitional period(2001-2011)and the new era period(2012-present).Based on this,we can summarize the similarities,differences and changes of the image of the Yellow River in documentaries in different historical periods.In terms of horizontal narratology and the presentation of audio-visual language,it can be concluded that the Yellow River in the documentary has realized the image transformation from the original "China’s troubles" to the present "Happy Yellow River".The narrative theme presented by the image of the Yellow River has also changed from "reflection on the history of the country" to "narration of humanistic stories".However,there are still some deficiencies in the creation of the image of the Yellow River in the current documentary,which can be improved from three aspects: the enrichment of narrative themes,the creation of short video images of the Yellow River and the improvement of external images,in order to write a good image of the yellow river in the new era and play a positive role in disseminating Chinese stories and transmitting Chinese voices.
