Research On The Function Of "Qi" Characters And Related Words

“Qi” is a very important and frequent word in Chinese,which has been used in many usages since ancient times.We use the “Three-plane theory of Chinese graphology” to conduct a full investigate and describe the form,structure and function of “Qi” character,hoping to have a clearer understanding of “Qi”.This paper studies the writing and evolution of “Qi”in the inscriptions on bones and tortoise shells,inscriptions on bronze,and other documents handed down from ancient times by means of Chinese character stylistics,this paper analyzes and discusses the writing features,writing methods,font categories,and the false changes of the characters’ forms;This paper studies and analyzes the category of components,the motivation of formation,the pattern of combination and the changes of various formation attributes of “Qi” character by using the theory of Chinese character formation The functional record,usage phenomenon,usage attribute,correspondence between characters and words,and the relationship between characters and functions are investigated and described by using the Chinese functional theory.Through the analysis of the evolution of the form to determine the type of characters,the analysis of the structural rationale for this purpose,a comprehensive analysis of the use of characters in the past dynasties,and then according to the context of the use of characters in the literature,determine the actual function of the character.This paper makes a diachronic study on the functional use of “Qi” in literature and related words by using the method of combining “Three-plane theory of Chinese graphology” with “studies of exegesis”.First of all,using the method of comparison and analysis,according to the shape,structure and function of “Qi” from various angles to study,correctly grasp the “Qi” word in the meaning of the article.In addition,the phenomena of “Qi” original meaning,,dual purpose and borrowing method in words are connected together to form a careful chain of evidence.Using the method of synchronic description and diachronic analysis,through the use of the function of “Qi” in the course of history,we can understand the development course of the function of “Qi”,this paper studies the source of the development of the numerous usages of the word “Qi” and their extension,analyzes the functions of the word “Qi” by qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis,and finally determines the real usage of the word “Qi”.Finally,the paper analyzes the expansion and reduction of the function of the word “Qi” among the many meanings used in the word “Qi”.The functional expansion of “Qi” is mainly reflected in the use and borrowing of “Qi”,and the functional reduction of “Qi” is mainly due to the use of personal pronouns and demonstrative pronouns being squeezed in a certain period,and after the appearance of the definite Noun “Na”,the designated function of “Qi” disappeared.
