An Investigation Of Exclamatory Sentences In ZhuZiYuLei

Exclamatory sentences are one of the four categories of sentences,which are sentences with strong feelings.In writing,exclamatory sentences usually end with exclamation marks.At present,systematic diachronic study of exclamatory sentences has not been seen,and special book study of exclamatory sentences is rare,which is not commensurate with the importance of exclamatory sentences.Therefore,this paper chooses Zhu Xi’s Zhu Zi Yu Lei Class of the Southern Song Dynasty as the research object,classifies and analyzes the exclamatory sentences in the book,sums up the characteristics of exclamatory sentences,and expects to achieve the purpose of deep understanding of exclamatory sentences through the study of exclamatory sentences in the special book.Zhu Zi Yu Lei is voluminous.Because it is a record of Zhuzi’s lectures,there are a large number of exclamatory sentences in it.At present,there are 8 volumes of Zhu Zi Yu Lei compiled by Li Jingde in Southern Song Dynasty and collated by Wang Xingxian.This paper selects the first two volumes to make exhaustive investigation of exclamatory sentences,and the remaining six volumes are only used as the scope of electronic retrieval and verification.The core part of this paper is the second to fifth chapters.The second chapter of the thesis investigates and analyzes the use of exclamatory sentences and modal exclamatory sentences in Zhu Zi Yu Lei.In the selected corpus,there are few interjective exclamatory sentences,only one interjective exclamatory sentences of "噫" is found.Modal exclamatory sentences can be divided into single modal marker exclamatory sentences and combined modal marker exclamatory sentences.The third chapter analyzes the adverbial exclamatory sentences,which are divided into two categories:degree adverb-marked exclamatory sentences and mood adverb-marked exclamatory sentences.The adverbs of degree that appear in the corpus mainly include the words"甚","多少","极","至","尤"and"最";The modal adverbs that appear in exclamatory sentences mainly include modal adverbs of"未尝"and"断然".Chapter four discusses exclamation sentences with rhetorical and declarative sentences as vectors.This type of exclamation sentence is more dependent on context,and it is easy to intersect with other sentence classes,and it is easy to attach other information at the same time as the expression is satisfactory.Among them,there are more marker types with the help of rhetorical exclamation sentences,which are easier to convert into exclamation sentences than declarative sentences.The characteristics of exclamation sentences in the fifth chapter of "Zhu Zi Yu Lei" are the key parts examined in this article,and this part is mainly divided into four sub-sections to discuss the characteristics of exclamation sentences: sentence marker characteristics,semantic pattern characteristics,emotional expression characteristics,and exclamation sentence function characteristics.Through research and investigation,it is found that the exclamation sentences in the open syntax system are greatly affected by the context,and their exclamation intensity will also be different in form according to the expression needs of the speaker.
