The rapid development of information technology has changed the traditional communication mode of human beings,and online chat has become one of the indispensable communication methods in our life and social work.As a non-verbal communication symbol,emoji has the advantages of immediacy,intuition and imagery compared with text symbols,and has become a new favorite of people’s chatting.However,due to the lack of systematic design guidance,the current expression pack design is still in a vague exploration stage,and some expression packs still have problems such as unclear semantic expression,serious homogeneity,shoddy production,and lack of cultural connotations.This makes it difficult for users to construct correct cultural values ??when using emoticons,and it is difficult to create a positive and healthy social network environment.Our country has a vast territory,a long history and rich regional cultural resources.The integration of regional cultural elements into the design of emoticons can not only create distinctive regional visual images,promote the building of urban brands and the spread of spiritual culture,but also Provide new design materials for network emoticons.Therefore,the purpose of this study is to explore new strategies for the design of regional cultural emojis,and strive to make useful research for the dissemination of culture and the healthy development of network emojis.This paper mainly uses literature research,field research,case analysis and other methods to conduct detailed research on regional culture and network emoticons.In the research,first of all,it analyzes the connotation and characteristics of regional culture,and traces the development process of emoticons,and further summarizes the style types and content types of emoticons.A total of 45 sets of emoticons related to regional culture were collected in We Chat/QQ emoji mall and other places,and they were sorted and analyzed based on the content,and the deep application value and social significance behind them were explored.At the same time,some existing problems were summarized..Secondly,based on the theoretical analysis and market research in the previous chapters,and by analyzing the dissemination and use characteristics of emoticons,the design elements and design principles of regional cultural emoticons are summarized.Then,by discussing the relationship between regional culture and overall design,the extraction and transformation methods of regional cultural elements in the design of emoticons are proposed,the application means and visual performance of elements are summarized,and finally the comparison of regional cultural emoticons is integrated.system design method.Finally,take Songshan Shaolin culture as an example for design practice,analyze Songshan Shaolin culture in detail,extract representative regional cultural elements,and then combine user needs to establish the main image,facial expression,and body movements of the expression pack,auxiliary props and other design elements,and finally completed three sets of expression packs "Shaolin Kid’s Zen Text","Shaolin Kid’s Martial Arts Chapter" and "Shaolin Kid’s Life Chapter".To sum up,this research hopes to provide a reference method for the productive protection of Chinese regional culture.
