Due to the differences in language, culture, and way of thinking between the source language and the target language, and the complex sentence structure and abstract meaning of the financial text,It is easy to bring barriers to reading and comprehension for readers. The reason for this is that there are also many differences in the logical expression of Chinese and English.,which come from the implicit deep semantics of the original text, and also from the different expression habits and styles of the writing of Chinese and English. Therefore,in the process of Chinese translation,it is necessary to process it through some compensation strategies,or to be precise,to clarify the logical relation,so as to convey the original information to the greatest extent and improve the logic and readability of the translation. This thesis takes The Economics of Belonging as the original text, mainly guided by Xia Tingde’s translation compensation strategy, and summarizes three clear compensation strategies for the semantic ambiguity of logical relations that occur in the translation process: semantic amplification compensation strategy is adopted for semantic ambiguity in contrastive logical relation;semantic interpretation compensation strategy is adopted for semantic ambiguity in transition logical relation;logical connection compensation strategy is adopted for semantic ambiguity in causal logical relation. The purpose of this translation practice report is to make the abstract and vague logical relation explicit, provide more accurate and rigorous financial Chinese translation for Chinese readers.
