| In order to implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s instruction of“letting history speak, and using historical facts to speak”,major archives dig deep into the collection of Japanese pseudo-archives,and promote the development of Japanese pseudo-archives in an orderly manner.Since the problem of file translation has yet to be overcome, the actual work of Japanese pseudo-archives development is still difficult. Therefore, the author hopes to accumulate experience in the translation of Japanese pseudo-archives through practice. The selected text for this translation practice is the second series(7)of the Japanese pseudo-archives “Report Collection of the Japanese Kanto Gendarmerie”.In this translation practice, combined with the characteristics of the selected text,Hans Vermeer’s “skopos theory” theory was selected as a guide, with the purpose of reproducing the whole picture of the original text to the greatest extent.First of all, under the principle of fidality rule, the translation technique of “blending” is adopted to conform to the stylistic features of the original text half text and half white, and the translation technique of “extending” is adopted to solve the translation problem that the interpretation cannot reflect the meaning of the original word,so as to reproduce the language style and language meaning of the text;secondly, under the principle of coherence rule, the translation technique of “adding” is adopted to supplement the omitted content, and the translation technique of “splitting” is used to turn long sentences into short sentences,so as to make the translation sentence logical and concise;in addition, under the principle of skopos rule, historical traces such as “historical chronology and old names of place names” are preserved through methods such as “literal translation and annotation” to reproduce the characteristics of the text, and historical information such as “concord language” is clarified through methods such as “word meaning selection” to restore historical facts,so as to achieve the purpose of presenting the whole picture of the original text to the greatest extent. In this translation practice report, the author analyzes how to use translation techniques such as “blending” “extending” “adding” and “splitting” in this translation practice through a large number of specific cases, and confirms the feasibility of “skopos theory” to guide the translation of archival texts,in order to provide reference for future historical archival translation research. At the same time,we summarize the unsolved problems and think about them in order to continue research in the future, hoping to contribute to the booming cause of historical archives. |
