In Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language,the adverb,"Cai",has multiple meanings and complicated usages.Non-Chinese native speakers are more likely to make mistakes.Therefore,conducting the research on the adverb "Cai" is imperative.This thesis is based on theoretical guidance of interlanguage hypothesis,error analysis,and comparative analysis,as well as adopts the research methods of questionnaires,error analysis,and statistics to conduct the error studies on the Thai students’ usages of mandarin adverb "Cai".Meanwhile,propose the teaching suggestions.This thesis references BCC Corpus and collects and sorts the "Cai" sentences in Wang Shuo’s opuses,as well as utilizes the questionnaires to collect the usages of adverb"Cai" corpus of Thai students.In the basis of the the four semantic levels of the adverb"Cai" including the semantic meanings of time,quantity,correlation and mood,the error and its types are analyzed,simultaneously,the occurring causality is discussed also.In the line with statistic results,in terms of the usage of adverb "Cai",Thai students made more errors on the semantic meanings of correlation and mood.Furthermore,the statistic analysis indicates that the main error types are misuse,omission,improper location and misadding,and misuse is the dominant one.The primary reasons caused the errors should be attributed to the the negative transfer of the mother tongue,the generalization of the rules of the target language,the learning strategies of avoidance,and the complexity of mandarin adverb.Through the efficient combination between questionnaires and error analysis,this thesis proposes the corresponding suggestions,and devotes to promoting Thai students’learning under Thai mother tongue environment and helping the teachers’ teachings.From the perspective of students,this group ought to constantly strengthen the sense of comparing Chinese-Thai languages and practice the usage of adverb "Cai" frequently;use correct and appropriate learning strategies to perfect the practice and review works under teachers’ guidance;carry forward the diverse learning model;and keep enriching individual knowledge background of Sinical culture.From the perspective of teachers,this group should attach importance to the Chinese-Thai linguistic comparison and pay attention to the differentiating and analyzing teaching between adverb "Cai" and other confused words.In addition,the corresponding scenario teaching and class interactions are indispensable either. |
