Degree adverb is a kind of adverb with typical characteristics in modern Chinese,It is mainly used to express the degree of things and is a relatively closed class.Compared with other class adverbs,the semantic features of the internal members of the degree adverb are not very different.Therefore,Chinese teachers generally do not treat them as difficulties in teaching.The number of Chinese adverbs of degree is not much,but the use frequency is very high.At present,a series of achievements have been made in the study of the ontology of degree adverbs,but the research on the teaching and acquisition of degree adverbs is still relatively few,and the research on Chinese learners in specific countries is even less.Although both Chinese and Thai belong to Sino-Tibetan language,as far as the degree adverbs in grammar are concerned,not only the meanings of degree adverbs in the two languages are not completely corresponding,but the syntactic functions are not exactly the same.For Thai students,the number of degree adverbs in Chinese is large,the meaning is abstract and difficult to grasp,and the usage often involves many factors,such as semantics,pragmatics,syntax,etc.Degree adverbs are therefore difficult for Thai students to learn.In order to explore the causes of errors in the acquisition of degree adverbs in modern Chinese by Thai students and to reveal the rules of their formation,this paper,on the basis of previous studies,adopts the method of quantitative analysis.Selecting 24 modern Chinese degree adverbs in the syllabus of the New Chinese proficiency Test,and adding the commonly used degree adverb "you(yi)dian(er)",totally 25 degree adverbs were selected to quantitatively analyze the acquisition status of Thai students.By using the method of comparative analysis,on a degree adverb syntax,semantic,pragmatic contrastive analysis of three aspects;in the error analysis theory,using the method of questionnaire survey,analyze students' acquisition of Chinese degree adverbs of Thai students in Silpakorn University,summarized the types of errors,analysis of the causes of errors,finally puts forward some suggestions and countermeasures from teachers,students,teaching materials and other aspects.We hope the research will be useful for Thai students' Chinese teaching and nationalized Chinese textbooks' writing for Thai students.
