Research On The Applications Of Visual Communication Designs Of Yangshao Painted Pottery Decorations

Traditional ornamentations condense and present important histories and cultures.As precious cultural heritages of China continue to be discovered and the historical axis of Chinese civilization continues to be elongated,how to inherit the essence of traditional ornamentations in modern visual communication designs and make them adapt to future development is an important topic to be discussed in the field of design.Yangshao painted pottery decorations,as one of the early forms and foundations of traditional ornamentation of China,possess great development potentials.This paper researches Yangshao painted pottery decorations under the research background of visual communication design and extracts the design application principles for Yangshao painted pottery decorations from the perspective of protection and inheritance of intangible cultural heritages.Then,comparative study method and case study method are used to analyze typical application cases for the design of Yangshao painted pottery decorations in Henan as well as other places of China.What is more,the optimization routes for applying research results to the design practice are put forward so as to facilitate the extended application and innovative development of Yangshao painted pottery decorations.This paper can be divided into four parts.The main contents are as follows:Part 1 is the introduction which introduces the research background,purpose and significance,research status and research methods of the paper,as well as research content and innovation.Part 2 analyzes Yangshao culture and painted pottery decoration,including the excavation of Yangshao culture and its development distribution,the comparative analysis of classification interpretation and formal rules of Yangshao painted pottery decorations as well as major features of other culture types of painted pottery decorations.What is more,graphics,words and cultural symbols suitable for application performance are also extracted.Part 3,which includes Chapter 3 and Chapter 4,is about core researches of the paper.Chapter 3 makes a comparative analysis of the application cases of Yangshao Painted pottery decorations in Henan and other areas and explains advantages and disadvantages of each application case with dialectical thinking.This part puts forward some measures for the application and improvement of ornamentations,such as respecting original features of ornamentations,highlighting differences of ornamentation characteristics,focusing on the integration of culture and tourism design and implementing multi-dimensional applications of ornamentations and exacts the optimization design methods for the creation of Yangshao painted pottery decorations from the four aspects of refining ornamentation,preserving color,regressing structures and carrying out dynamic transformation.Chapter 4 describes some concrete practice according to methods exacted from the previous chapters.At the same time,Chapter 4 also explores commercial and social values of Yangshao painted pottery decorations in visual communication design from the perspective of regions and related designs.Part 4,the conclusion and prospect summarizes research results of this paper from three aspects of theory,application and practice.It is hoped that the design and application of Yangshao painted pottery decorations can adhere to the problem-oriented principle and drive innovation with results from theory to practice.
