The Contemporary Value And Practice Of Filial Piety In The Book Of Filial Piety

As one of the thirteen Confucian classics,the book of filial piety has formed a more systematic theory of filial piety on the basis of learning from the filial piety thought of Pre-Qin Confucianism.It has become a widely circulated and sought after work of filial piety theory in feudal society.It is highly respected by the rulers and used to govern the country.The book of filial piety contains rich thoughts of filial piety,which is discussed in detail from the aspects of worship,respect,remonstrance,self-reliance,filial mourning and filial sacrifice.It has a profound impact on people’s moral emotion and behavior practice in history,and has played a positive role in the harmony of traditional families,the stability of society and the stability of national power.With the development of the times,filial piety thought has a new connotation of the times,which has a positive impact on the moral crisis of weak filial piety consciousness and lack of filial piety behavior.The new filial piety thought is of great value to today’s family,society and country.Exploring the practice path of the value of filial piety thought is conducive to providing opinions and methods for the current moral construction.Based on the interpretation of relevant research results at home and abroad,this paper first expounds the relevant theories of filial piety thought in the book of filial piety,analyzes the historical process of the formation of filial piety thought in the book of filial piety from a vertical perspective,explores the origin and background of filial piety,and summarizes the Pre-Qin Confucian filial piety thought represented by Confucius,Mencius and Xun,which provides a theoretical basis for the formation of filial piety thought in the book of filial piety,In order to grasp its historical process and essential law,this paper summarizes the content of filial piety thought in the book of filial piety from five aspects: worshiping relatives,respecting relatives,standing up,admonishing relatives,mourning and sacrifice,which provides a theoretical basis for later discussion.Secondly,from the standpoint of historical materialism and dialectical materialism,this paper discriminates the filial piety thought in the book of filial piety,discusses the historical value of the filial piety thought from the aspects of individual,family,society and country,analyzes the limitations of the filial piety thought in combination with the contemporary social background,and points out that the correct attitude of critical inheritance and the background of the times should be adopted in the process of inheriting the filial piety thought,This paper puts forward the connotation of contemporary filial piety thought,which provides an ideological basis for the refinement and presentation of the contemporary value of filial piety thought.Thirdly,combined with the characteristics of contemporary society,this paper focuses on the positive role and value of filial piety in personal morality,life consciousness,dealing with family parent-child relationship,solving the problem of providing for the aged and the society and the country,so as to provide theoretical support for the construction of socialist morality.Finally,it analyzes the path to realize the value of filial piety from four aspects: personal education,family education,school education and social education,so as to provide specific practical methods for socialist moral construction.
