Research On Citizens’ Moral Identity In The New Era

On October 27,2019,the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council issued the " Outline for the Implementation of Citizen Moral Construction in the New Era",which clearly put forward "strengthening moral identity" in the overall requirements,making moral identity an issue with extremely high research value in the context of the new era.This paper firstly sorts out the theoretical origins of Chinese and Western civic moral identity,and then conducts theoretical research on civic morality from the perspective of identity.Combined with the conceptual analysis of civic morality and moral identity at the present stage,the concept of civic moral identity in this paper is defined as: in order to achieve a harmonious atmosphere of improving one’s inner self-cultivation,perfecting personal inner morality and maintaining social public order,individual citizens actively participate in In the collective or society,the choice of the existing social moral norms in the society is a dynamic process in which different moral rules and norms are constantly colliding and merging to make them play an active role in social life.And from the subject,object,level and other aspects to discuss the citizen’s moral identity.Among them,the subject of civic moral identity is citizens;the objects of civic moral identity in the new era include socialist moral belief,socialist moral system and civic moral norms.This article focuses on the description of civic moral norms;the level of civic moral identity can be It is divided into civic moral cognitive identity,civic moral emotional identity and civic moral behavior identity.Then it discusses the outstanding problems of citizens’ moral identity,which can be summed up as: the weakening of citizens’ moral beliefs,the low degree of citizens’ moral identity,the weak awareness of citizens’ morality,and the lack of education of citizens’ moral identity.In order to solve the outstanding problems existing in the process of citizens’ moral identity,this thesis proposes that: by actively carrying out the education of citizens’ moral beliefs,improving the internalization and externalization of citizens’ moral norms,correctly handling the relationship between moral rights and moral obligations,and creating a virtuous person The moral environment and other paths can improve the degree of civic moral identity and promote the construction of civic morality.
