Marx’s communist thought reflects the criticism of capitalism at that time, aiming at turning the communist society into reality by revolutionary means. In the new era, there are more and more different views about communism in the west.Influenced by Marx’s communist thought,Alan Badiou,a western left-wing scholar, advocates to hold high the banner of communism again. This paper expounds the main contents of Badio’s and Marx’s communist thoughts from their theoretical origin, formation, development and theoretical connotation.Based on the theoretical connotation of their communist thoughts, this paper analyzes and compares the similarities and differences between Badiou and Marx’s communist thoughts. Both of them put forward their communist ideas, which were related to the disadvantages of the capitalist society in their time, and advocated the abolition of "private ownership".The ultimate goal of their communist thoughts is to realize the ideal social state, but Marx advocates the communist society of human liberation, while Badiou puts forward an eternal concept of pure equality. The realization of the goal requires a subject with revolutionary power. In Marx’s view, the subject is a completely revolutionary proletariat, while Badiou’s subject is a non-existent or "marginalized" subject in the existing order. With regard to the revolutionary definition of events,Marx advocated starting from reality and following the course of historical development and evolution. The events of Badiou are hidden behind the social reality, and they are the truth after the break.Through the comparative analysis of Badiou’s and Marx’s communist thoughts,it is found that Badiou’s communist thoughts have theoretical value of awakening people’s subjective consciousness, and have practical significance of actively promoting social development at present. |
