Since the beginning of the new century,under the influence of system reform,creative ideas,technology and equipment,the living environment of Chinese documentaries have faced severe challenges,facing with the great pressure that competing for the market with other cultural products.In order to occupy a place in the mass culture market,Chinese documentaries have to actively explore the development path of marketization and industrialization,so as to complete the market-oriented transformation.The documentary with the theme of "food" took the lead in breaking the shackles of market barriers and innovating from the aspects of content,narrative and image.In just two decades,it has rapidly occupied the market and become the most popular documentary genre among the audience,attracting extensive attention from the documentary creation and theoretical circles.In this thesis,from the content features,narrative characteristics and audio-visual expression of the three aspects,the Chinese food documentary comprehensive analysis,summed up its successful experience and shortcomings,in order to promote the further development of documentary creation and research.The introduction part mainly introduces the research background and research status at home and abroad,and defines relevant concepts.The first chapter mainly analyzes the content features of Chinese food documentaries.Chinese food documentaries reveal the natural geography,ethical emotion and spiritual pursuit behind Chinese food by recording the sources of food materials and cooking techniques,presenting the secular ethics and human feelings,and showing the survival wisdom of the Chinese nation.The second chapter analyzes the narrative characteristics of Chinese food documentaries from the perspectives of narrative time and space,narrative structure and narrative rhythm.In terms of narrative time and space,Chinese food documentaries enhance the expressive force of time and space through the public space and private space integrity construction,and the presentation of defamiliarization of narrative time extension and compression.In terms of narrative structure,it adopts linear propulsion,interlace contrast and plate combination structure.In terms of narrative rhythm,the creator makes the rhythm of the documentary becomes relaxed and organized by reasonably controlling the relationship between internal and external rhythm.The third chapter analyzes the audio-visual expression of Chinese food documentaries from the perspective of image style and sound elements.In terms of image style,food documentary presents three styles: ideographic,realistic and spectacular.In terms of sound elements,through the use of original and individual commentary,vivid and authentic sound and expressive music,food documentaries achieve innovative expression of documentary sound,and increase the artistic appeal of the film.The fourth chapter mainly discusses the problems of homogenization,entertainment and mistaken values in the current Chinese food documentaries,and puts forward reasonable suggestions for this problem.Chinese food documentaries should constantly update the production concept to avoid the same;We should also improve the cultural consciousness of creators and Avoid being overly entertaining.The conclusion part summarizes the development of Chinese food documentaries since the new century,and makes clear the advantages and disadvantages of their marketization and industrialization development path,in order to provide reference for the marketization exploration of other types of documentaries.
