| Since the Mongol rulers of the Yuan Dynasty occupied the Central Plains and restored the imperial examination system,the status of Cheng Zhu Lixue was repeatedly improved,and the bibliography involved in Cheng Zhu Lixue gradually became a required reading list for readers to obtain meritorious names.As a result,the role of Cheng Zhu’s thought has also been alienated,and it has become a tool for scholars to pass the imperial examination and enter the career path.In this background of respecting Zhu and revering Zhu,Chen Xianzhang also chose the method of "Ge Wu Zhi Zhi" and seeking "Li" outwardly;but following this path,after several turns,he did not find a place of psychological unity,coupled with the dilemma of his many fruitless examinations,he began to rethink the method of study.Chen Xianzhang’s exposure to Buddhist taoism since childhood and his involvement in numerous books provided him with the possibility of re-opening up a method of "Zhu Jing" that points directly to his heart.Before Chen Xianzhang,theorists had already emphasized the role of the Xin at the level of cultivation theory,and it was Chen Xianzhang who really made a breakthrough.Chen Xianzhang changed the philosophical basis of Zhu Xi’s "Li-qi" dualism,believing that although "Li" is the foundation of heaven and earth,it is innately sufficient in the "Xin",and people can constantly achieve a state of coincidence with reason through the dominant role of"Xin".This "Xin-li" relationship determines the absolute dominance of the "Xin" in Chen Xianzhang’s thought,dominating people’s bodies,behaviors,and everything in the world.In this way,the discovery of human disposition is also dominated by the "Xin".In the specific development of the discovery of temperament,Chen Xianzhang made a unique interpretation of "Yuan Fei Yu Yue".Chen Xianzhang,unlike Zhu Xi,bases his understanding of "Yuan Fei Yu Yue" on the basis of human morality and daily use,believing that this is the state of mind after "poor reason".Although Chen Xianzhang’s interpretation of"Yuan Fei Yu Yue" is not far from human daily use,the realm of "Yuan Fei Yu Yue" that he wants to reach is a natural state of natural discovery as affection,natural flow of temperament,and exclusion of external interference.From the establishment of the status of the main body of the heart to the natural expression of temperament,Chen Xianzhang runs"Zi Ran" through the whole process.Therefore,in order to finally achieve such a self-contained,self-sufficient,and complete realm,and to complete the natural outpouring of disposition,Chen Xianzhang proposed to take "Jing" as a portal,eliminate the evils of wandering,give play to human subjectivity,emphasize the disclosure of the mental body of"Xu Ming Jing Yi",so as to be considerate of "Li",so as to achieve psychological unity,so that the discovery of disposition can follow the principle in the "Xin" and do not have to be sought in the vast books.However,Chen Xianzhang also realized that only emphasizing the drawbacks of "Jing" was emphasized.Therefore,he has not given up on "Wu Wang Wu Zhu",and put "Wu Wang Wu Zhu" in an auxiliary position,as a kind of prevention of the emergence of the drawbacks of the "heart" having nowhere to find and eventually escaping into Buddhism. |
