Based on the current situation of senior high school students’ writing teaching,the author tries to explore a teaching method that can make better use of student resources and model essay resources,and effectively improve the English writing score of high school students.The author applies group cooperative learning to imitative writing,aiming to explore the influence of group cooperative imitative writing on the writing level and attitude of senior high school students.This study attempts to explore the following three specific questions: 1.Can group cooperative imitative writing improve senior high school students’ English writing scores? 2.What is the impact of group cooperative imitative writing on senior high school students at different English writing levels? 3.What is the impact of the group cooperative imitative writing on the English writing attitude of senior high school students?The author combined group cooperative learning with model essay imitation,and conducted a 12-week teaching experiment.The subjects of the experiment are students in two classes in the first grade of a high school in Zoucheng City,Shandong Province.Letter writing can well highlight the two elements of style and content,and it is also a common form of English composition for the college entrance examination.In this study,five types of letter writing were taught.It includes apology letter,recommendation letter,thank you letter,cover letter,and complaint letter.The control class uses the traditional model essay imitation teaching method,which mainly conducts writing teaching through the teacher’s explanation.The experimental class adopts the teaching method of group cooperative imitative writing.Students in the experimental class cooperate to analyze the content and the structure of a sample essay,and students can get more writing material through discussion.Students can also correct grammatical errors and perfect the details by revising their compositions together.The group cooperative imitative writing teaching method can make full use of student resources and model essay resources.This research mainly includes the following three findings: 1.The teaching method of group cooperative imitative writing can effectively improve senior high school students’ English writing scores.2.Under the teaching method of group cooperative imitative writing,the English writing scores of senior high school students at different levels have been improved,but there are differences in the degree of progress.The degree of progress from high to low is as follows:Middle-level students have made the greatest progress,low-level students have the second largest improvement,and high-level students have made the least progress.3.Under the teaching method of group cooperative imitative writing,most high school students have improved their interest,confidence and enthusiasm in English writing,and have had a more positive and optimistic attitude towards English writing.
