With the rapid development of information and digital technology,the e-sports industry is developing rapidly in China.However,the development of e-sports in our country has not been smooth sailing.It has also been crowned by the society as"electronic opium".Later,in its long-term exploration,it has realized the development of formalization and competition.The improvement of the public’s cognitive environment has promoted the sound development of the e-sports industry in China to a certain extent.However,in terms of the worldwide development of the e-sports industry,although China’s domestic e-sports industry is developing very rapidly,it still has a large gap with developed countries.The reasons for the gap are not only the inherent insufficiency of the industrial foundation,but also technical talents and other factors.One of the most important aspects is the development hindrance caused by the public’s stereotyped perception of e-sports.In order to explore the factors that affect the social cognition of e-sports and their linkage relationships,this article uses social cognition theory,sub-cultural theory and other scientific theories,applying qualitative comparative analysis methods,case analysis and other methods to provide reasonable suggestions for the future development of China’s e-sports industry.First of all,this article discusses the attributes of e-sports.By discussing the development process of e-sports in our country,it explains the evolution of the public’s social cognition,with the help of literature analysis,and introduce two representative e-sports games "Glory of the King" and "Peace Elite" to elaborate on the linkage effects between their influencing factors,then summarizes the influence of e-sports social cognition from a cultural perspective.This section also uses questionnaire surveys to understand the current social perception of e-sports,and collect data for subsequent qualitative comparative analysis.Secondly,through the qualitative comparative analysis method,list five different configuration paths to improve the social cognition of e-sports,understand the multiple linkage effects between the factors that affect the social cognition of e-sports,and analyze the five different groups.The configuration path of each can be mapped to different real situations.Finally,based on the social cognition theory and qualitative comparative analysis conclusions,in the context of the improvement of the social cognition environment of e-sports,it reflects on the development of China’s e-sports industry,and focuses on the industrial model,top-level design,media promotion,and e-sports norms.And the five aspects of content mechanism,and put forward valuable suggestions for the future development of China’s e-sports industry.
