Objective: Explore the changes between soft and hard tissue in adults with Skeletal class Ⅱmalocclusion before and after non-orthognathic surgery camouflage treatment. The availability of the treatment approach was verified by comparing the position of soft and hard tissues and the changes in relevant angles before and after the treatment. It also provides certain clinical basis and data reference for the design of such patients to improve the feasibility of the camouflage treatment scheme. Methods: According to the inclusion criteria,40 patients who were Skeletal Class ⅡMalocclusion and choose non-orthognathic surgery camouflage treatment scheme were selected.Curved tomograms, lateral cranial radiographs and CBCT were taken in all patients by the same technician before(T0)and after the Camouflage Therapy(T1).After the Therapy was completed, the 19 items of hard tissue and 11 items of soft tissue before and after treatment were measured and compared. The measurement was performed again one week after the first measurement, and the average value of the two measurements was taken as the final measurement value of the corresponding index. Results: A total of 40 cases were included in this experiment, including 21 male patients and 19 female patients.1.The index of hard tissue: LI-VRL(0.275±0.495mm)increased,while UI-VRL(0.204±0.469mm),UI-SN(3.526±6.896°)and ∠ ANB(0.372±0.813°)decreased.The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The remaining hard-tissue changes were not statistically different(P﹥0.05).2.The index of soft tissues: B’-VRL(0.164±0.379mm),Li-VRL(0.143±0.242mm)increased,while A’-VRL(0.198±0.595mm)and LS-VRL(0.158±0.348mm)decreased(P<0.05).The remaining soft-tissue changes were not statistically different(P﹥0.05).3.The distance measuring index of soft and hard tissue had different degree correlation in sagittal direction(P <0.05).The distance measuring index of the degree of bulge of lip and torque of incisor had correlation(P <0.05).The soft tissue point A′ and B′ are highly associated with the A and B in the sagittal direction(P <0.05).The hard tissue point Pog was highly correlated with the soft tissue Pos in both the sagittal and vertical directions. Conclusion:The patients with Skeletal Class Ⅱ Malocclusion can partially improve the jaw relationship and the bulge of lip and torque of incisor after camouflage treatment. The lateral appearance of the patient can be improved to a certain extent by the retroclination of the maxillary incisor and the proclination of the mandibular incisor. There was a correlation between the changes of soft and hard tissue. The adults with Skeletal Class Ⅱ Malocclusion, with the assistance of anchorage screws, can partial reaching the treatment target and reduct the risk after Camouflage Therapy. The torque of central incisor can be controlled by temporary anchorage device during the camouflage therapy.
