Exploring Professor Guo Zhihua's Clinical Experience In Treating Hypertension Based On The TCM Inheritance Computing Platfor

Objective: Data mining was used to analyze Professor Guo’s prescription and academic thought for treating hypertensionMethods:After collecting and sorting out the original medical records of 428 patients with hypertension in the outpatient department of the First and Second Affiliated Hospital of Hunan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from 2019 to 2022,we input them into the traditional Chinese medicine inheritance computing platform V3.0.Then we use the software data analysis module to analyze the cases collected from 2019 to 2022 respectively.And data mining technology is a dominant tool to analysis,such as frequency analysis,association rule analysis,complex system entropy clustering,etc.Besides,the data analysis system and statistical report system are also important.As we all known,statistics and analysis were made on the four qi and five flavors,meridian tropism,frequency of use,syndrome classification,treatment principles and methods,commonly used drug pairs,and prescription rules of drugs.Results:1.The majority of patients with hypertension are middle-aged and elderly.The common tongue pulse is red tongue,thin yellow fur,stringy pulse and deep pulse;Symptoms include dizziness,sleeplessness at night,dry mouth,chest tightness,headache,fatigue,palpitation,bitter mouth,anorexia,chest pain,etc.2.Drugs: The drugs with the highest utilization rate include Gastrodia elata,Uncaria,Pueraria lobata,Rhodiola,Poria,Chrysanthemum,Pinellia ternata,Atractylodes macrocephala,Chuanxiong,and Salvia miltiorrhiza.3.Four Qi,Five Tastes and Meridian tropism of drugs: the frequency statistics of meridian tropism from high to low are: liver,heart,spleen,lung,kidney;The frequency statistics of the four gases from high to low are as follows: flat,warm,cold,cool and hot;The frequency statistics of five flavors from high to low are as follows: sweet,bitter,spicy,sour and salty.4.Potential new formula: the "new formula analysis" in the traditional Chinese medicine inheritance computing platform has obtained six potential new formula combinations:(1)Gastrodia elata,Atractylodes macrocephala,Pueraria lobata,Pinellia ternata,Rhodiola,Hawthorn,Shenqu,and Fulin;(2)Gastrodia elata,uncaria,chrysanthemum,pueraria lobata,poria,rhodiola,ligusticum chuanxiong,eucommia ulmoides;(3)Gastrodia elata,uncaria,poria,kudzu root,cauliflower,schisandra chinensis,chrysanthemum,rhodiola;(4)Pinellia ternata,Ligusticum chuanxiong Hort,Aucklandia,Salvia miltiorrhiza,Pueraria lobata,Allium macrostemon,Rhodiola,Hawthorn;(5)Uncaria,Poria cocos,Euryale,Coix Seed,Atractylodes macrocephala,Schisandra chinensis,Radix Rehmanniae,Radix Pseudostellariae;(6)Salvia miltiorrhiza,pueraria lobata,rhodiola,white peony,schisandra chinensis,pinellia ternata,poria,ophiopogon japonicus.Conclusion:1.The characteristics of Professor Guo’s medication are as follows:(1)He prefers to use both sweet and soothing herbs,as well as both attacking and tonifying herbs.In clinical practice,Gastrodia elata and Gouteng(i.e.Tianma Gouteng Yin)are commonly used in combination with Pinellia ternata,Atractylodes macrocephala,and Pueraria lobata(i.e.Pinellia ternata,Atractylodes macrocephala,and Tianma decoction)for addition and reduction;(2)Medication should be gentle and avoid using cold and hot foods.2.Professor Guo prefers to treat hypertension based on the liver,taking into account multiple organs.He often uses drugs such as Gastrodia elata and Gouteng to calm the liver and suppress yang,treat both the heart and spleen,balance the lungs and kidneys,adhere to the pathogenesis,and treat according to the symptoms.3.Professor Guo is good at using classic formulas and treating them according to the symptoms.Commonly used formulas include Banxia Baizhu Tianma Tang,Tianma Gouteng Yin,Yiyi Jian,Gualou Xiebai Banxia Tang,Tianwang Buxin Dan,and Suanzaoren Tang.Systematically analyzing the combination of new formulas can achieve effects such as calming liver yang,promoting blood circulation and resolving stasis,eliminating dampness and phlegm,calming the heart and calming the mind,and soothing meridians and collaterals.
