Objective:To study the concentration of total antioxidant capacity(TAOC)and lipid peroxide(LPO)in joint fluid of knee osteoarthritis(Knee osteoarthritis,KOA)patients with phlegm-stasis syndrome and liver-kidney deficiency syndrome. The characteristics and their correlation with the degree of syndrome enrich the connotation of knee osteoarthritis with phlegm-stasis syndrome and liver-kidney deficiency syndrome in TCM syndrome differentiation and treatment.Method:This study adopts the method of epidemiological cross-sectional study. The cases come from September,2020 to December,2022.There are 73 inpatients with knee osteoarthritis in the Department of Orthopedics,Dongzhimen Hospital,Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. There were 37 patients in the phlegm-stasis syndrome group, and 36 patients in the liver-kidney deficiency syndrome group. All patients met the diagnosis of knee osteoarthritis and met the inclusion criteria.Informed consent was obtained from each patient for this study.Using the ELISA method to detect the concentration of LPO in the joint fluid, and the ABTS method to detect the concentration of TAOC in the joint fluid, apply the TCM syndrome score obtained from the TCM syndrome scale to quantify the degree of syndrome, and analyze the characteristics of the concentration of TAOC and LPO in the synovial fluid of patients with different syndromes and its correlation with TCM syndrome scores.Result:①Comparison of knee osteoarthritis patients with liver-kidney deficiency syndrome group and phlegm-stasis syndrome group in terms of age,BMI,gender, knee joint disease course, knee joint X-ray positive and lateral K-L classification, body temperature, heart rate, respiration, blood pressure, etc. There was no significant statistical difference(P>0.05);②The concentration of LPO in the synovial fluid of the knee osteoarthritis patients with phlegm-stasis syndrome group was higher than that in the liver-kidney deficiency syndrome group(P<0.05),and the TAOC concentration in the joint fluid of the knee osteoarthritis patients with liver-kidney deficiency syndrome group was lower than Patients with phlegm-stasis syndrome group(P<0.05);③The concentration of LPO in the knee osteoarthritis group with phlegm-stasis syndrome was positively correlated with the TCM syndrome score, and it was statistically significant(r=0.795,P<0.01).In the knee osteoarthritis group with phlegm-stasis syndrome, there was no significant correlation between the concentration of TAOC and the syndrome score of traditional Chinese medicine(r=-0.095,P>0.05);④ In the knee osteoarthritis liver-kidney deficiency syndrome group, the concentration of TAOC was negatively correlated with the syndrome score of traditional Chinese medicine(r=0.476,P<0.01).In the knee osteoarthritis liver-kidney deficiency syndrome, there was no significant correlation between the LPO concentration and the TCM syndrome score(r=-0.103,P>0.05).Conclusion:① The TAOC and LPO concentrations in the synovial fluid of patients with knee osteoarthritis with phlegm-stasis syndrome group and the liver-kidney deficiency syndrome group are different, indicating that the TAOC and LPO concentrations in the synovial fluid of patients with knee osteoarthritis with different syndromes can vary from one degree to another. The characteristics and differences of above-reported TCM syndromes;②Correlation between the characteristics of TAOC and LPO concentrations in the synovial fluid of patients with knee osteoarthritis with different syndromes and TCM syndrome scores, indicating that the concentrations of TAOC and LPO in the synovial fluid of patients with knee osteoarthritis can reflect knee osteoarthritis to a certain extent The severity of the syndrome is consistent with the analysis of the etiology and pathogenesis of TCM;③In clinical work, when choosing traditional Chinese medicines on the basis of accurate dialectics, the role of traditional Chinese medicines in anti-oxidation should be fully considered,so as to achieve better curative effects in both macroscopic and microscopic aspects;...
