Purpose:To conduct a retrospective study on the clinical data of patients with ovarian cancer and follow up,summarize the characteristics of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)syndrome types and analyze the correlation between TCM syndrome types and FIGO stage, histopathological types, condition of ascites, and the relevant physical and chemical indicators;analyze the impact of ovarian cancer overall survival(OS)factors, and provide a scientific basis for the prognosis and treatment of patients with ovarian cancer by integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine.Material and method:This study used a retrospective analysis method to select patients who were hospitalized in the Department of Oncology,Affiliated Hospital of Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from September 2018 to September 2021,whose first diagnosis is all ovarian cancer.By Using Microsoft Excel software to build a case information database and SPSS 26.0 statistical software to perform statistical analysis on the data, descriptive statistics on the distribution of symptoms and signs and other related factors(measurement data are expressed as (?)±s),and perform k-means cluster analysis to dive the patients into different four TCM syndrome types;by using~2 test and Kruskal-Wallis rank sum test compare the variables between groups of different TCM syndrome types;and survival function was used to calculate survival rate,Kaplan-Meier method was used for single factor survival analysis, and log-rank test was used to compare survival rate,Cox proportional hazards regression analysis was used for continuous variables, and Cox proportional hazards regression analysis was also used for multivariate analysis.P<0.05 was considered to be statistically significant.Results:1.Among the 89 ovarian cancer patients,39 died patients were observed, the average survival time of the dead patients was 45.33±38.09 months, and the median survival time was 36 months.Among all patients, there were 6 patients with a survival time of less than 1 year, all of whom had died, accounting for 6.7%;and 35 patients with a survival time of more than 5 years, accounting for 39.3%.2.More than 60%of ovarian cancer patients have symptoms of fatigue and tiredness.By using k-means cluster analysis, the TCM syndrome types of 89 ovarian cancer patients were finally clustered as:Qi stagnation and blood stasis type(33.7%)>spleen-kidney yang deficiency type(28.1%)>deficiency of Qi and Yin type(23.6%)>phlegm-dampness accumulation type(14.6%).3.(1)There is a statistical difference between TCM syndrome types and condition of ascites,P<0.05,and a significant correlation between group of spleen-kidney yang deficiency and condition of ascites.(2)Compared with the other three groups, the result of Hb level of spleen-kidney yang deficiency type group was P<0.01,and the difference was statistically significant.(3)The PLT level of Qi stagnation and blood stasis type group was compared with that of phlegm-damp accumulation group,P<0.01,the difference was statistically significant.(4)The level of D-dimer in the spleen-kidney yang deficiency type group was compared with that in the deficiency of Qi and Yin group and the phlegm-damp accumulation group,P<0.05,which was statistically significant.(5)Compared with the other three groups, the level of CA125 in spleen-kidney yang deficiency group was P<0.01,and the difference was statistically significant.(6)There was no statistical difference in FIGO stage,WBC and FIB levels among different TCM syndrome types,P>0.05.4.FIGO stage,TCM syndrome types, and condition of ascites will affect the prognosis of ovarian cancer patients(P<0.05).The survival curves were drawn respectively, and the cumulative survival analysis function chart showed that:(1)The survival time of patients with stage I and II was longer than stage III and IV.(2)Compared with the patients with Qi stagnation and blood stasis, deficiency of Qi and Yin and phlegm-damp accumulation, the survival time of patients with spleen-kidney yang deficiency decreases more rapidly, and the survival time is shorter.(3)Compared with patients without condition of ascites, the survival time of patients with condition of ascites is significantly shortened. The levels of WBC,Hb,D-dimer and CA125 were related to the prognosis of patients(P<0.05);however,age,PLT and FIB were not related to the overall survival of patients, and the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Multivariate Cox regression analysis was performed on the statistically significant factors affecting the overall survival time, among which FIGO stage,TCM syndrome type, condition of ascites and the levels of WBC,Hb,D-dimer and CA125 had no significant effect on the overall survival time. The presence of condition of ascites was an independent prognostic factor affecting the overall survival of ovarian cancer patients(P<0.05).Conclusion:1.The TCM syndrome types of ovarian cancer patients are:Qi stagnation and blood stasis type,spleen-kidney yang deficiency type, deficiency of Qi and Yin type, and phlegm-dampness accumulation type.2.TCM syndrome types are related to the condition of ascites and the levels of Hb,PLT,D-dimer and CA125.Patients with spleen-kidney yang deficiency often have ascites, and their level of Hb is lower than that of patients with other syndromes, but their level of CA125 is higher than all of other syndromes, and their level of D-dimer is higher than patients with deficiency of Qi and Yin and phlegm-damp accumulation. The level of PLT in patients with Qi stagnation and blood stasis syndrome was higher than that in patients with phlegm-damp accumulation syndrome.3.The FIGO stage, condition of ascites,TCM syndrome type,WBC,Hb,D-dimer and CA125levels are related to the prognosis of ovarian cancer patients.Among them, condition of ascites is an independent influencing factor of OS in ovarian cancer patients.Ovarian cancer patients with ascites have shorter OS and bleak prognosis.
