| China is a large mariculture country,and its aquaculture scale and output are the first in the world.China adheres to the "culture-based" strategy to become a major fishery production country in the world.More than half of the carbon captured by global natural ecosystems through photosynthesis is done by marine organisms.Therefore,focusing on the perspective of carbon sequestration fisheries in mariculture,carbon sequestration fisheries will become the driving force for the high-quality development of fisheries in the new era of ecological priority.China has formulated a "double carbon" strategy to achieve carbon peak by 2030 and carbon neutralization by 2060,which has become a good time to promote the development of carbon sink fishery.At the same time,a clear timetable and roadmap coincide with China’s adherence to the high-quality development of ecological priority fisheries.Carbon sequestration fishery has made an outstanding contribution to world food security and greenhouse gas emission reduction,is an important engine to promote global ecological development,and deserves extensive attention from global academic circles.This study further focuses on the typical province-Liaoning,and clarifies the specific practices and development status of provincial-level carbon sequestration fisheries.Through the preliminary study,it is found that the development of the primary industry in the traditional marine fishery in Liaoning Province is limited,and the development of the integration of the three industries needs the promotion of new kinetic energy and new system.On the other hand,the effect of carbon sequestration fishery is gradually emerging,and the biological carbon sequestration industry has the characteristics of low cost,continuous emergence of technological innovation,objective ecological value and benefits,and so on.The main conclusions are as follows: first,on the basis of understanding the carbon sequestration function of mariculture organisms and the distribution of marine carbon sequestration ecosystem in China,it can be analyzed that the carbon sequestration capacity of mariculture in Liaoning Province has a certain competitiveness in the whole country.Specifically,comparing the output of mariculture species with strong carbon sequestration capacity of various provinces in China,Liaoning Province ranks third in shellfish,third in algae and ninth in crustaceans.Secondly,the path of promoting the development of carbon sequestration fishery industry in Liaoning Province is demonstrated,the fishery carbon measurement method based on the change of carbon sequestration is established,and the total carbon sequestration of shellfish aquaculture products in Liaoning Province in the past ten years is estimated.the potential and effect of carbon sequestration were discussed.In addition,the paper also analyzes how to solve the technical bottleneck in the development of fishery carbon sequestration,and finds the important supporting role of shellfish culture technological innovation in the process of fishery low-carbon economic development in Liaoning Province.In order to further clarify the development status of carbon sequestration fishery in Liaoning Province,in the domestic comparative study,this paper increases the horizontal comparative materials of Guangdong Province and Shandong Province;in the international comparative study,this paper analyzes the concepts and specific practices of carbon sequestration fisheries in the United States and Japan.Finally,policy suggestions are made from multiple dimensions,such as the standardization of industry development,the transformation of scientific and technological achievements,the promotion of the concept of carbon sequestration and the development potential of marine carbon sequestration fisheries: first,give priority to the development of low-carbon leading industries,optimize and upgrade the industrial structure,and then promote the development of the whole marine industry;second,science and technology pry the development of carbon sequestration fisheries,scientific and technological innovation is the only way to build a strong fishery province and promote employment and economic development.The third is to implement the ecological compensation and aquatic products support mechanism with strong carbon sequestration capacity,to promote the carbon cycle,carbon footprint and carbon trading of relevant green industries;the fourth is to strengthen the new development concept and model innovation of carbon sequestration fishery;the fifth is to improve the carbon metering system,unify the calculation method of carbon sequestration and potential,and quantitatively analyze the important role of carbon sequestration fishery in driving blue granary strategy. |
