With the enhancement of the national rural revitalisation policy,domestic economic development and consumer demand in the post-epidemic period,international youth hostels in tourist attractions continue to increase.Youth hostels are a different kind of international chain from ordinary hotels,and the attributes of the industry and the locality it has are highly attractive to young people.There is little design research in this field in China,so this case ventures into this area of research and design application.The thesis takes the design specifications of the Su Hongzhai residential house and the International Youth Hostel as the object of study,relying on the national rural construction policy as the background,from the cultural needs of contemporary youth,combining the advantages of the local environment and the regional characteristics of the residential house,using the basic principles and methods of interior design,focusing on the basic methods of the International Youth Hostel interior design.The article explains the theoretical concept of youth hostels,the origins and development of youth hostels,their typology and the needs of the people who use them,and summarises the positioning and composition of the interior space functions of youth hostels based on literature and field research.The thesis elaborates on the principles of interior space design for youth hostels and summarises the strengths and weaknesses of youth hostel interior design through case studies of relevant subject designs,providing strong support for subsequent design practice.Through a combination of theoretical and practical design research,the interior design of the international youth hostel in Honghe County Suhonglaozhai is taken as the object,from the living needs of the residents,based on the practice of rural construction,the spatial layout design of the youth hostel space,vertical space design,functional flow relationships and other research and analysis,to explore in depth the principles of international youth hostel interior design under rural tourism construction,to solve the current problems The study provides effective strategies to solve the current problems.
