| The improvement in quality and quantity of domestic crime films in recent years is commendable.Crime movies are often based on reality and presented in a realistic style. In recent film creation,a number of films have become more ambitious in shaping the image style,as well as regional presentation. In such films as The Gathering at South Station,A Rainy Cloud in the Wind,Once Upon a Time in the Tropics and the Coming Blizzard, the director restores the natural and social space of the southern cities, and expresses the spiritual space of the characters in these two spatial forms, thus presenting a unique southern temperament as a whole. When the southern space enters the film and becomes the main part of the film narrative, the space is not only the place where the story takes place in the geographical sense, but more of a symbolic meaning. It can not only become the story itself to actively participate in the narrative, but also turn the space into the stage of the story presentation, and arrange the story in a new structural way,so that the story presents a unique meaning. This paper will extract the concept of "southern sense" from this batch of southern films, and discuss how "southern sense" is formed and the role of "southern sense" in film narration. |
