A Study On The Change Of Life Style Of Gelao Ethnic Group

Cultural change has always been one of the subjects of cultural anthropology and ethnology.Since the 1980 s,many Chinese scholars have studied the social and cultural changes of various ethnic groups,and many research results have emerged.Although a large number of achievements have been made in the research on Gelao culture,they mainly focus on the ethnic group origin and the change of traditional sports.As the earliest and single Gelao township in China,Pingzheng Gelao Township has the title of "the first Gelao Township in China",which preserves the beautiful and simple Gelao culture.However,with the development of society,the deepening of reform and opening up,the implementation of the western development,especially since the development of tourism in 2003,the communication between the originally closed Gelao and other ethnic groups has become more frequent,resulting in rapid changes in all aspects of Gelao’s lifestyle.This paper takes the changes of clothing,food,living and walking of Pingzheng Gelao ethnic group as the research object.From the perspectives of cultural anthropology and ethnology,this paper investigates and studies the lifestyle of Pingzheng Gelao ethnic group,namely,clothing,food,housing and transportation.Combining with relevant historical documents and materials,this paper combs out the trajectory of changes in the four aspects of clothing,food,housing and transportation of the Gelao ethnic group of this area,analyzes and summarizes the background of its cultural changes by applying cultural change theories,and digs deeply into the causes of these cultural changes.Analyze the future trend of the region after the change.Taking the study object of clothing,food,housing and behavior of Pingzheng Gelao ethnic group,this paper discusses its changes,which are divided into four parts.The first part is the introduction,which mainly introduces the origin,significance,method and concept definition of the research,and summarizes the relevant research achievements in the academic circle on the change of Gelao ethnic group.Combing through these research results,it is found that there are few studies on the changes of Pingzheng Gelao,especially on the changes of its clothing,food,residence and travel.The second part is the first chapter,which mainly discusses the natural environment and social environment rooted in Pingzheng Gelao culture.The third part,from chapter two to chapter five,discusses and analyzes the changes of Pingzheng Gelao ethnic group in four aspects: clothing,food,housing and walking.The fourth part is the sixth chapter,considering the background of the changes of clothing,food,housing and transportation of Pingzheng Gelao ethnic group,thinking about the types of reasons driving the changes and the future trend after the changes.Through analysis,it can be found that the changes of clothing,food,housing and transportation of Pingzheng Gelao have always been in a state of deconstruction,and at the same time,they are constantly reconstructing.This state is the result of the joint action of internal and external factors,the manifestation of absorbing the achievements of modern civilization,and the positive interaction between policies and elite groups.
