A Cognitive Research Of The Number-Based Words In Mongolian Language

As everyone knows,every type of language has its number-based words,and these number-based words are closely linked to the sentiments,culture,and manners and customs of the subordinate language ethnic group.As a consequence,if you want to know or understand the culture connotations such as the faith,worship and taboo of the Mongolian ethnic group,it is of great implication to research the number-based words of the Mongolian language.This thesis consists of five sections: Introduction,Chapter I,Chapter II,Chapter III and Summary.In the preamble,the article accounts for the reasons for the selected topic,the situation of the research,the methods of the research,and their significance.In Chapter I,we primarily study and discuss the theoretical issues related to number-based words in Mongolian language,and research the brief conditions of number-based words in Mongolian language from the point of view of cognitive linguistics.In Chapter II,based on the basic information of Mongolian Dictionary,Twenty-one Volume Dictionary,Twenty-eight Volume Dictionary,Detailed Dictionary of Mongolian,Mongolian Root Dictionary,Contemporary Mongolian Frequency Dictionary,Million-word Scale Contemporary Mongolian Language Database and correlative works,we research the general situation of what meanings are utilized in the number-based words of the Mongolian language.In Chapter III,on the basis of the theory of cognitive linguistics,we study and discuss and analyze the significance evolution and general course of the development of the number-based words such as "one,two,three,four,five,six,seven,eight,nine,and ten".
