| Yongxing(1752-1823),known as Jingquan,called Shaoan,Yijin Zhai master,etc.He was the eleventh son of Emperor Hongli of the Qing Dynasty and was born to the Royal Concubine Shujia.He became Prince Cheng in the fiftieth year of the Qianlong era(1789).He was died in the third year of the Daoguang era.His posthumous title is "Zhe".He was an expert calligrapher from an early age,and was best known for his achievements in regular and running script.This article is a study of the regular script of Yongxing after he was fifty years old.This paper consists of three parts: the first two parts of this paper are a study of the art of regular script after the age of fifty,while the third part is a series on the author’s calligraphic practice.Firstly,through a review of Yongxing’s regular script works,it summarizes the artistic characteristics and causes of his regular script;secondly,it analyses in detail the artistic characteristics of his regular script after the age of fifty in terms of technique;finally,on the basis of an in-depth study of his regular script,it aims to grasp the characteristics of his regular script at a deeper level through extensive copying,and to learn from various schools of thought in order to create works with a distinctive style. |
