As an important medium for children and teenagers to learn science and popularization knowledge, science journals for children and teenagers play an important role in the process of their growth, and are an important way to inherit the culture of a large country and build cultural confidence. At present, most of the science journals in China are mainly translated from foreign countries. With the significant increase of China’s scientific and technological power, many fields have approached or even surpassed foreign countries, and China urgently needs a science journal of its own to educate children and teenagers about science and build national self-confidence.Nowadays,traditional print periodicals can hardly meet children’s reading needs, and more and more science journals are trying to combine with new media for transformation. How to transform children’s science popularization periodicals with the help of interactive experience design theory and break the traditional single reading method is the focus and purpose of this research. This thesis takes science and technology-based children’s science journals as the research object, based on interactive experience design theory, and uses Cricket,How It Works,Science Illustrated,Nature History, and Aerospace Knowledge Youth as case studies to finally generate design strategies for children’s science journals and practice design based on China’s original science and technology-based journal,Aerospace Knowledge Youth. The research process is guided by the three-level theory proposed by Norman, and the specific research and practice are carried out by using questionnaire survey method, reliability validity analysis,in-depth interview method, comparative analysis method and Likert measure method.Firstly,by sorting out the concept of interactive experience design and its performance in the field of visual communication, the concept, development history and current development of children’s science journals,we explain the inevitability of interactive experience design in children’s science journals and provide certain theoretical foundation for the thesis;secondly,by combining the theory of children’s cognitive development and the three-level theory of emotionalization,we conduct in-depth interviews with target users, questionnaires, demand analysis, user According to the research results,we summarize the current needs of the audience of children’s science journals and propose the design strategies of ease of reading, consistency, increasing interactive experience, reducing information hierarchy, fun and multi-dimensionality from three dimensions of sensory, behavioral and emotional experience creation;finally, under the guidance of the design strategies,we carry out design practice and take the original science and technology-based "Aerospace Knowledge Youth" journal under the supervision of the Chinese Association for Science and Technology as the carrier to carry out the design of "Aerospace Knowledge Youth".Finally, under the guidance of the design strategy, the design practice was carried out, taking the original science and technology-based journal "Qutian Junior" under the supervision of the Chinese Association for Science and Technology(CAST)as the carrier, the interactive experience design practice of "We Chat applet + paper journal" was carried out,and the We Chat applet was designed in terms of function combing, content architecture, prototype design, interface design, etc. The cover and table of contents of the paper journal were systematically designed, and the interactive design in the form of folding, pulling and rotating was carried out.The design plan is verified and evaluated,so as to verify the feasibility and rationality of the interactive experience mode of science and technology-based children’s science journals. This thesis proposes a new idea for the transformation of science and technology-oriented children’s science journals,an attempt to shift from flat reading to multi-dimensional interactive experience, and design practice based on the design architecture of children’s science journals, which provides reference and reference for the exploration of children’s science journals in the field related to interactive experience. |
