A Study On Loanwords Of The Chinese Dictionary

As the name implies,dictionaries take words,and dictionaries take words.The Chinese Dictionary is a large dictionary whose main task is to explain the sound,shape and meaning of Chinese characters.Theoretically,it only needs to explain the sound,shape and meaning of Chinese characters,but the actual situation is different.In writing,Chinese is based on characters,but in practice,it is based on words.Some of the words in the Chinese Dictionary cannot be interpreted alone,and only the words combined with other Chinese characters can express the specific meanings.Therefore,it is necessary to set up the polyphonic words under the first part of the characters to assist the interpretation of Chinese characters.There is no obvious boundary between words and words,and they cross each other.In addition,"foreign words" are different from "foreign words",so this paper takes "foreign words" as the research object.The Chinese Dictionary does not have many loanwords,but it is a special part of it.Since The Chinese Dictionary is not a specialized dictionary for loanwords,and the book is widely used,it is inevitable that there are non-standard problems,which need to be further improved.This paper takes 373 loanwords in The Chinese Dictionary as the research object,and combines the theories of lexicology,semantics and lexicography to analyze and describe the loanwords in the Chinese Dictionary from multiple perspectives,analyzes the situation of these loanwords in the three aspects of receiving words,Zhuyin and interpretation,finds out the existing problems in the process of receiving and releasing loanwords,and puts forward suggestions for revision.It is hoped to promote the standardization of loanwords in The Chinese Dictionary" and make a small contribution to the revision of The Chinese Dictionary.This paper is divided into four chapters.Introduction.This part firstly introduces the research purpose and significance of this paper,then summarizes and sorts out the research results of the ancients on The Chinese Dictionary and foreign words,determines the research content of this paper,and finally explains the research methods and corpus sources of this paper.The first chapter is the general situation of loanwords in The Chinese Dictionary.Based on the exhaustive search of the loanwords,this paper makes a quantitative analysis of the etymology,semantic types and translation methods of the loanwords,and summarizes the features of the received words.The second chapter is the study of Zhuyin of loanwords in The Chinese Dictionary.Firstly,the principle and style of Zhuyin in foreign words are introduced,then the phonetic conversion mode of foreign words is analyzed,and the problems of Zhuyin missing and Zhuyin wrong in some loanwords are found,and the errors and deficiencies are corrected and remedied.The third chapter is the main part of the thesis.Firstly,this paper analyzes the interpretation styles and principles of The Chinese Dictionary,and then divides the interpretation ways of the loanwords into four types: interpretive,defining,descriptive and comprehensive,and explores the existing problems of each interpretation way and puts forward suggestions for optimization.It is found that there are some problems in the process of interpretation of loanwords,such as lack of interpretation and confusion of definitions.The fourth chapter,on the basis of the previous studies,puts forward suggestions for the revision of the loanwords included in the "Chinese Dictionary".The article puts forward relevant suggestions from three aspects: acceptance,interpretation and notes,so as to standardize the loanwords included and promote the systematic study of The Chinese Dictionary.
