| The outbreak of Anti-Japanese War in 1937 made "Anti-Japanese War and national salvation" become the core theme of literary creation.As an branch of literature in liberated areas,children’s literature also consciously joined in the discourse practice of national grand narrative and shouldered the important task of publicity and education.At present,the academic research on literature in the liberated areas has gradually deepened,involving various aspects such as politics,culture and education.However,there is relatively little attention to the issue of children’s literature in the liberated areas,which lacks comprehensive research.Based on the creation of children’s literature in the liberated areas(1937-1949),this paper discusses the general situation,artistic features and limitations of children’s literature in the liberated areas on the basis of children’s living environment,children’s individual value and the theory of children’s literature,and combines the internal research paradigm of children’s literature with external factors.Combining literary aesthetic research with literary sociological factors,this paper reveals its uniqueness and complexity in order to supplement and enrich existing relevant studies.The thesis consists of three parts: introduction,text and conclusion,among which the text is divided into three chapters.The introduction mainly discusses the unique features of children’s literature in liberated areas.On the basis of carefully reviewing the research status of children’s literature in liberated areas,this paper expounds the basis of topic selection,research significance,research ideas and research methods.The first chapter mainly studies the creation background of children’s literature in liberated areas.In order to save the children displaced and suffering from the turbulent war environment,the Party actively carried out childcare work.In modern times,with the evolution of children’s ideas,children’s personality and social status gradually received attention.Children in liberated areas actively participated in the AntiJapanese War activities under the leadership of the Party,and their individual values were constantly highlighted.In the wave of "May Fourth" new culture,left-wing revolutionary culture and Yan ’an revolutionary culture,the children’s literature has gradually completed the transformation from "children’s standard" to "nation standard" children’s literature view,and has distinct realistic,educational and national characteristics.The second chapter aims to classify and sort out the general situation of children’s literature creation in the liberated areas based on the classification of literary genres,which mainly includes four parts,namely,short and powerful children’s poetry,colorful novel stories,strange life fairy tales and children’s drama deep into reality.On the whole,most of the works in this period are short in length and strong in narrative.The subject matter changes closely with the development of The Times,focusing on the true reflection of the struggle,production and life of children in the liberated areas,presenting the true state of life and heroic events of The Times,with a strong sense of immediacy and immediacy.Secondly,the writer is committed to combining literary creation with regional culture,which not only reveals the cultural characteristics in different regional environments,but also creates a group of diverse and activated teenage characters.The third chapter focuses on exploring the artistic characteristics and limitations of children’s literature.Influenced by the policy that literature and art serve the Anti-Japanese War,children’s literature tends to be popular in subject matter and content,but its bright and cheerful tone of works,diverse and lively characters and humorous plot description highlight the unique color of "children",so it has the characteristics of combining "popular" with "children".Secondly,the changes of The Times and environment promote the educational function of children’s literature to be infinitely enlarged.Writers in the liberated areas continue the realistic creation path and integrate patriotism,labor production,cultural education and other contents into the children’s literature works,so as to present a clear reality and education.In addition,the children’s literature in the liberated areas actively inherits and develops the national culture,which not only demonstrates the great national spirit,draws on the beneficial forms of national literature and art,but also carries forward the fine folk culture and improves the national culture.The strengthening of national consciousness endows children’s literature with political consciousness and social responsibility,which makes children’s literature have strong propaganda effectiveness,but also weakens the aesthetic value of children’s literature to a certain extent,and to some extent,there are drawbacks such as single theme content,obscured characters’ natural attributes,and abrupt plot twists.The conclusion mainly summarizes the overall situation of children’s literature creation in liberated areas and objectively understands the historical significance and literary value of children’s literature in liberated areas. |
