Cultural geography is a branch of human geography. It is highly connected to literary works. It emerged in the 1920 s and has developed over the past century, gradually forming scientific research methods and paradigms. The theory of new cultural geography is the latest development in cultural geography theory, which emerged in the 1960 s after the quantitative revolution and a profound reflection on quantitative methods. The new cultural geography emphasizes individual experience and explores "specific people" rather than discussing the "abstract person" in cultural geography. This article will be based on the theory of new cultural geography and will use textual analysis to extract descriptions of Singapore’s geographical features, cultural characteristics, and children’s inner experiences from three children’s literature works(The Diary of Amos Lee,The Awesome MRT Diaries,Whoopie Lee)by Singaporean contemporary children’s literature writer Adeline Foo.From these descriptions, distinct child images will be identified. The article will explore the reasons for the formation of these images from three levels: regional writing, cultural writing, and personal experience writing, revealing the significance of these child images and their positive impact on children’s growth and social development. At the same time, the article focuses on the study of children’s literature works, highlighting the role of Singaporean children’s literature in promoting the growth and social development of Singaporean children, and delving into the irreplaceable role of children’s literature works in children’s growth.Based on regional writing, the study found that the book deeply portrays Singapore’s unique landscapes and climate in various aspects of children’s lives. The characteristics of Singaporean children can be seen in the daily life of children. The harmony among Singapore’s multiculturalism, multilingualism, multiple religions, and the coexistence of children and animals embodies the amicable child images of children.Children’s experiences and modern features reflect contemporary child images. The way Adeline Foo presents child images in her works can provide a lot of inspiration for Chinese children’s literature and has valuable implications for the development of our country’s children’s literature.
