| Historical and cultural resources are important achievements of human civilization development and natural evolution,and they are crucial carriers for promoting exchanges among different civilizations.According to the National 14 th Five-Year Plan and the outline of the long-term goals for 2035,we will deeply implement the project of inheritance and development of Chinese excellent traditional culture,strengthen the systematic protection of important cultural,natural heritage,and intangible cultural heritage,and make efforts to promote the creative transformation and innovation of Chinese excellent traditional culture.The conservation and rational use of historical and cultural resources is of great importance to the continuation of human civilisation and the sustainable development of the world.The Three Kingdoms period was a legendary era in Chinese history,and Xuchang was an important birthplace of the Three Kingdoms culture that nurtured many historical and cultural resources.Based on literature analysis,on-site investigations,and observation visits,this article investigated the protection and development of the Three Kingdoms cultural resources in Xuchang.The study shows that Xuchang has given full play to its location and has made great efforts to protect and develop the cultural resources of the Three Kingdoms through various forms such as formulating conservation and utilization plans,repairing monuments and cultural relics,upgrading relevant scenic spots and organizing promotional and exchange activities,which has significantly enhanced the city image of Xuchang.However,the protection and development of the Three Kingdoms culture in Xuchang still face some prominent problems,including some unreasonable development plans,inadequacies in cultural heritage protection,and a lack of content and innovation in tourism products.In addressing the problems and analyzing the related causes,the measures and suggestions for the protection and development of the Three Kingdoms culture in Xuchang are proposed in four aspects: raising awareness and scientific and rational planning;coordinating the protection of the Three Kingdoms cultural resources;improving the Three Kingdoms cultural industry system;and enhancing the dissemination and influence of the Three Kingdoms culture.By implementing these measures,we can better protect,inherit,and make good use of historical and cultural resources,promote the creative transformation and innovation of Chinese excellent traditional culture,and make it play a more important role in the high-quality development of Xuchang. |
