The verb-copying sentence is one of the most common sentence patterns in daily Chinese communication,and is also an important grammar item in international Chinese teaching.Over the years,grammarians have mainly analyzed it from the perspectives of syntax,semantics,pragmatics and discourse,and the research results are very rich.However,there are relatively few studies of the verb-copying sentence bias in international Chinese teaching for a particular country.The compact structure and complex usage of the verb-copying sentence,which have no similar sentence structure in Korean,make it more difficult for Korean students to learn Chinese.Therefore,with the help of a large corpus,this study conducts a detailed and comprehensive investigation on the phenomenon of the verb-copying sentence bias among Korean students.Firstly,based on the summary of previous research findings,this paper defines and classifies the verb-copying sentence,and compares it with the corresponding form in Korean.Secondly,under the guidance of theories of second language acquisition and bias analysis,the biased corpus of Korean students in the Inter-language Corpus of Chinese from Global Learners is classified and summarized,the frequency of use and bias of Korean students in different learning stages is calculated,and the errors of the four types of the verb-copying sentence and the order of their acquisition are summarized.The bias types of the verb-copying sentence are divided into six categories: verb-copying bias,marker bias,complement bias,word order bias,sentence selection bias and other types of bias,and each category is further divided into several sub-categories.Meanwhile,a questionnaire is introduced to analyse the errors of Korean students’ verb-copying sentence,and to elaborate on the syntactic and semantic aspects of the representative examples of the verb-copying in the corpus.In addition,the study examines the layout of the verb-copying sentence in the syllabus and Chinese textbooks,and analyses the causes of the verb-copying sentence errors from both internal and external perspectives,taking into account various factors.Finally,based on the results of the interviews with Korean Chinese language teachers,the study proposes corresponding teaching suggestions from the perspectives of class teaching,student learning,syllabus and textbook development,as well as a specific teaching design for "得" marked the verb-copying sentence at the elementary level.It is hoped that this will provide a reference for the teaching of the verb-copying sentence in international Chinese language teaching.
