A Study On The Path Of Revitalizing Rural Areas Through Public Art

Rural revitalization has been an important strategic concept for the country in recent years.The government’s continuous release of related policies demonstrates China’s determination and attitude towards rural revitalization.In the process of development,rural construction also faces specific problems such as a single development model and cultural shaping.In this context,the role of public art in rural construction has been emphasized.In the process of rural construction aimed at revitalizing the countryside,public art is mostly positioned as a carrier of nostalgia culture,fully tapping and retaining the public’s memories of nostalgia through its unique cultural appeal.In practice,public art targets society and intervenes in the movement of rural revitalization,creating significant social value while providing cultural welfare for the public.Public art is a way to invigorate rural life and connect with nostalgic emotions.It is a form of expression that displays local culture and rural memories,activates withering rural space,enhances the distance between people and rural culture,and extends the continuity of rural culture,thereby reshaping the relationship between people and the environment.This article first defines key concepts and summarizes the development trajectory of rural public art and the historical background of public art intervention in rural areas,in order to study the important significance of its intervention in the rural environment.Public art creates an emotional atmosphere for the countryside and strengthens people’s sense of identity and belonging to rural culture by showcasing its charm through artistic forms.Secondly,this article studies typical cases of public art intervention in rural areas and summarizes the forms of public art intervention in rural construction.Finally,based on case studies and research methods,this article proposes principles,methods,and approaches for public art intervention in rural areas from its own perspective,and selects Huanglong Village as an object of theoretical and practical research activities.This article systematically summarizes the path of public art intervention in rural areas through extensive case studies,and provides a specific practical response to the wave of rural construction with public art.The relevant results can provide a theoretical reference for the development of rural public art.
