Teachers are the foundation of education.With the development of globalization and the demand of "the Belt and Road",the number of people learning Chinese around the world is increasing rapidly,so as the demand for Chinese language teachers.But how to cultivate application-oriented,compound and diversified international Chinese language teachers is an important guarantee to promote the sustainable and optimal development of international Chinese language education.As a reserve force to promote the development of international Chinese education in the future,the masters of teaching Chinese to speakers of other languages play a crucial role in this future career.Their professional identity is directly related to their future career choice and the development of international Chinese education.Professional identity is not only an important factor that affects their own thoughts and behaviors in international Chinese education,but also exerts a subtle influence on their students.Professional identity is a development process of constant pursuit and construction.Therefore,this paper starts from the investigation of the professional identity of master of teaching Chinese to speakers of other languages at different learning stages,analyzes the current situation of professional identity of master of teaching Chinese to speakers of other languages at different learning stages and the factors that affect their professional identity.In hope that we can put forward suggestions and strategies for improving the training of master of teaching Chinese to speakers of other languages at different learning stages.This paper takes 124 master of teaching Chinese to speakers of other languages,namely,the Master of Chinese International Education,as the research object,adopts the method of quantitative analysis and qualitative interview analysis,and focuses on investigating the current situation of professional identity of 124 masters of Chinese education in different learning stages in first-year postgraduate learning,second-year postgraduate learning and third-year postgraduate learning process.The study found that there are significant differences in the professional identity of master of teaching Chinese to speakers of other languages at different learning stages.The level of professional identity from high to low was: postgraduate first-year > postgraduate second-year > postgraduate third-year,showing a downward trend.The factors that affect the professional identity of master of teaching Chinese to speakers of other languages are also different at different learning stages.This study mainly analyzes and summarizes the factors that affect the professional identity of master of teaching Chinese to speakers of other languages at different learning stages from four major aspects: the country and society,training schools,families and individuals.The national and social aspects include the imperfect employment security system and the low recognition of international Chinese teachers.In terms of training schools,there are three main aspects,namely,the distinctiveness of curriculum and discipline,the specific situation of internship arrangement and career planning guidance.The family aspect mainly includes two main aspects: parental support and the influence of people around.The personal aspect mainly includes personal study efforts and personal career planning.The four main influencing factors affect the professional identity of master of teaching Chinese to speakers of other languages in different learning stages to varying degrees.Based on the findings of this survey,this paper proposes suggestions from four aspects: the country and society,training schools,families and individuals to improve the professional identity of master of teaching Chinese to speakers of other languages at different learning stages.In hoped that these strategies and suggestions can improve the professional identity of master of teaching Chinese to speakers of other languages to a certain extent.
