Study On The Application Of Dunhuang Moiré In Mural Painting During The Five Dynasties

Dunhuang moiré is an indispensable decorative pattern in the art of Dunhuang grottoes murals.During the Five Dynasties period,Dunhuang moiré were rich in shapes,which could be subdivided into five categories and 24 types;A five generation color system dominated by "red,blue,green,brown,and white" was formed;In the picture,it not only plays a decorative function,but also is endowed with more practical significance.As a highly artistic and cultural creation element,Dunhuang moiré in the Five Dynasties should not only remain in cave murals,but should enter daily creation,bringing moiré into play in contemporary mural creation,and allowing art to communicate with contemporary people through time and space.This is of great benefit to both the inheritance of cave murals and the development of art.This article takes the Dunhuang moiré of the Five Dynasties period as the starting point.Firstly,it systematically sorts out the development background and image characteristics of the moiré,and then further explores the expressive techniques and artistic functions of the moiré;Secondly,according to the creative thinking of the work,I try to "reorganize" the Dunhuang moiré images of the Five Dynasties and extend the subject matter of expression;Finally,summarize the problems existing in the creation and deeply analyze the value and significance of creation.Among them,the theoretical study of the moiré in Dunhuang during the Five Dynasties period has expanded the research perspective of the moiré images in Dunhuang murals,and has positive significance in studying the cultural characteristics of the Dunhuang region during the Five Dynasties period;The practice and exploration enriched the expression form of Dunhuang moiré of the Five Dynasties in mural creation,and made the moiré,as a "supporting role" in the history of traditional art,glow with new vitality in contemporary art creation.
