Research On The Application Of Ready-made Materials In Fiber Art

Ready-made products,as mass-produced,utilitarian and emotionless manufactured goods in industrial societies,have played a significant role in the development of fiber art as a medium.The study of ready-made works by different artists allows us to appreciate their unique charm,and their application in art is important for both the preservation of traditional fiber art and the innovative development of modern fiber art.This has enriched the range of materials and expanded the expression of fiber art.Artists collage and cut various ready-made products,combining them with different techniques to create their works.They explore the inner meanings of these products,merging them with artistic concepts and personal ideas,as well as public social experiences,thereby expanding the connotations of the ready-made products.In recent years,the number of works created with ready-made products in major fiber art exhibitions in China and abroad has continued to increase,indicating the importance of ready-made products in fiber art expression.This paper examines and interprets the use of ready-made products in fiber art,drawing on the author’s visual perception,practical experience,and artistic and cultural accumulation,as well as examples of ready-made works.Firstly,this paper categorizes the application of ready-made works into three types: direct application,optimized transformation,and comprehensive transformation,providing a foundation for subsequent creation and study of such works.Secondly,the aesthetic properties and presentation of ready-made works in fiber art are analyzed,and the paper argues for the importance and contemporary value of ready-made products in fiber art.Finally,the aesthetic properties and application techniques of ready-made works are discussed and summarized from a diversified perspective,enriching their artistic expression through different creative techniques,and providing theoretical support for artistic creation.In the graduation design work,the use of renewable ready-made products,coupled with a systematic design concept and creative techniques,as well as comprehensive practice of materials,patterns,and other design elements,provides new inspiration and expression for the creation of fiber art.
