In the beginning, this thesis studies the “ready‐made” artwork concept that firstly announced by Duchamp in1915, then discusses about the formation of “ready‐made” artwork that being an art historic concept. It is suggested that the impact of “ready‐made” artwork concept announced by Duchamp is drawn over a wide range of area and cultures and, at the same time, a numbers of aesthetic viewpoints and practices were inspired by one way or another.Secondly, by comparing the new realism raised in France in1960s and pop art in USA, the variation of the ways to interpret and present the concepts between these two on the interpretation of the “ready‐made” artwork concept are revealed. The reason that leads to this variation is generally addressed from a sociology approach including mass culture and consumer society.Finally, on the basis of development and evolution of “ready‐made” artwork in Europe and USA, this thesis discusses about the possibility of the birth of new type of artwork in modern China and provides insight into the development of domestic art.
