Study On The Han Dynasty Animal Figurines In Southern Henan

The Han Dynasty was an extremely important period in the development of Chinese history,and the political instability gave rise to a unique cultural landscape.In this context,funeral culture also exhibits different characteristics,especially the changes in burial objects.On the basis of inheriting the Qin Dynasty’s burial figurines,animal figurines were further innovated during the Han Dynasty.As an important type of burial figurines in Han tombs,animal figurines not only reflect the social conditions at that time,but also represent the progress of people’s funeral concepts and the transformation of social systems.Therefore,studying the animal figurines of the Han Dynasty,clarifying the development process of animal figurines,and analyzing the reasons for their popularity are of great significance for studying the social production and living conditions,science and technology,as well as the ideological,cultural,and funeral concepts of the Han people.The southern region of Henan is located in the hinterland of the Central Plains-Henan Province.It was in an important geographical position during the Han Dynasty and was jointly influenced by Han culture and Chu culture.With the continuous improvement of archaeological data,this article includes animal figurines unearthed from over 230 Han Dynasty tombs in the southern region of Henan.Based on archaeological typology and specific information of tombs,they are divided into stages.Based on the evolution of types,combinations,and production techniques,different development stages of animal figurines are summarized,and compared with the surrounding areas of Henan on the basis of these studies,Sort out the development of Han Dynasty animal figurines within Henan,and finally objectively analyze the reasons for their popularity and decline,in order to better understand the development of Han Dynasty animal figurines.The full text is divided into the following parts:Chapter 1 Introduction.This article mainly introduces the purpose and significance of the topic selection,defines the relevant concepts involved in the article from the perspectives of spatiotemporal scope and research objects,summarizes the discovery and research of animal figurines in the Han Dynasty in the academic community,and points out the research methods of this article.Chapter 2: Typological analysis of Han Dynasty animal figurines in the southern Henan region.Mainly conducting archaeological typological research on the animal figurines unearthed from Han tombs in the southern region of Henan,and introducing the relevant information of various animal figurines unearthed in the southern region of Henan.Chapter 3: The Staging of Animal Terracotta Warriors Excavated from Han Tombs in the South of Henan Province.Based on the shape and grade of each tomb,the burial age of the Han Dynasty animal figurines in the southern region of Henan Province is determined based on the common artifacts with the animal figurines in the tomb.Under the premise of determining the age of the animal figurines,the evolution of the animal figurines is followed as a rule.The Han Dynasty animal figurines in the southern region of Henan Province are preliminarily divided into three stages: early Western Han,middle and late Western Han,Wang Mang period,early Eastern Han,middle Eastern Han,and late Eastern Han.Chapter 4: The combination,production process,and development stage of animal figurines.On the basis of staging,based on the combination forms and production techniques of animal figurines unearthed in different periods,the four development stages of Han Dynasty animal figurines in the southern region of Henan were summarized and summarized,including their germination,formation,development,and prosperity.Chapter 5: A comparative study of animal figurines unearthed in the southern region of Henan and the surrounding areas of Henan.Using the method of cultural factor analysis,Henan is divided into several regions: East,West,North,and Central.Each region selects a representative city to compare with the animal figurines unearthed in the southern region of Henan,and analyzes the cultural dissemination of animal figurines in the Henan region.Chapter 6 Conclusion.On the basis of organizing and summarizing the research ideas of the entire paper,using the method of historical literature,this paper analyzes the reasons for the popularity and overall decline of various animal figurines unearthed in the southern region of Henan Province.
