With the continuous innovation of science and technology,the development of digital media art,and the continuous progress of communication media in visual communication design,images have also entered the field of popularization.In the era of new digital media,it is a brand new era of digitalization and visual impact that we have experienced.From the traditional visual communication of image and text combination to the dynamic,multimedia,and rich visual sensory image based visual communication and media art today,breaking the single form of communication,bringing the audience a new feeling and rich experience,which is breathtaking.In the development of modern art and post-modern art,image art is an important part of it.From the initial development of photography,film,video,and video to the visual communication elements combined with new media art today,it has broken through the shackles of art and the transformation of ideas,making it get new changes and upgrades in the development of modern and post-modern art,which also drives the development and interpretation of traditional art.In the article,the author mainly analyzes the innovation and application of images in visual communication design,focusing on exploring the new visual and aesthetic experiences that images and GIF forms of dynamic images bring to the audience,and extends to the exploration of design forms and information dissemination methods in practice.Through the research and exploration of the integration of images and visual communication,the author strives to open up new forms of information dissemination,enrich the audience’s experience and deep perception.Under the constant change and renewal of the current visual communication media,the integration and innovation of semiotics such as image art and dynamic visual communication will increase the interaction between the communication of visual effects and information,break through the single visual experience,optimize the experience and media of visual communication to people,and promote the innovation of visual communication design.This article mainly elaborates on the innovation and application of images in visual communication design in the new media era.By analyzing relevant concepts,sorting out the current research status and achievements,and combining the visual effect design of the opening ceremony of the Beijing Winter Olympics as an analysis case,it explores the application of digital images in GIF form in visual communication design.By using dynamic images to spread information and combining human visual perception methods,it analyzes the design aesthetics in visual communication Combining the principles of formal beauty in design and dynamic audio-visual experience,exploring the audience’s psychological perception,rich information dissemination methods,and factors that stimulate human sensory experience,deeply pondering the impact and innovation of images on visual communication in the new media era.From the perspective of the application of visual communication design,through interdisciplinary research,we focus on the "people-oriented" approach in design,with the design direction of human perception as the leading factor,to create a brand new multi-level,meaningful,interactive,and meaningful visual communication design work.In the new digital media era,image fusion in visual communication drives the new development of visual communication media,innovates new forms,breaks the traditional static display mode,makes communication more information-based and entertaining,and is more conducive to the perception of people’s listening and deep experience and feelings.
