| Chinese online game novels were born at the end of the 20 th century.It is a network type novel based on online games.Over the past 20 years,online game novels have developed rapidly,and many excellent works have emerged,such as From Zero,Ace Lonesome and The King’s Avatar.Among them,The King’s Avatar is the first online game-related work to be selected into the "China Network Novel List",and still ranks the first place in the game novel collection list of Qidian.com ten years after its creation.It can be called the classic online game novel.The development of online game novel is remarkable,but its research is not enough.Most scholars get involved in online game novels from the aspects of narrative and genre,and pay attention to the impact of online games on online literature,while fans’ ideas or viewpoints are often ignored by researchers.Fans of online novels are the "natives" of online culture,and their observation and understanding of online novels are often difficult for others to empathize with.Take fans as a way to participate in the study of online game novels has unique advantages that other perspectives do not have.By investigating the rich and unique views of fans on online game novels and deeply observing fans’ activities,we can not only understand the individual feelings of fans,but also hear the group voice,so as to obtain more information about online game novels,so as to further explore online game novels.This paper takes fan culture as a research perspective and focuses on fan groups,and selects the online game novel The King’s Avatar as the research center.The main contents are as follows:The first is the introduction.This part describes the research origin,research status,research methods and research significance of this paper.Next is the paper main body part,which is divided into four chapters.The first chapter firstly defines the concepts of online game novels and fans that play an important role in this study,briefly describes the history and development of online game novels,and then sorts out the development of The King’s Avatar and its fans to form an objective and overall understanding of online game novels and their fans.Chapter two describes the cultural participation of fans of The King’s Avatar.Fan cultural participation in The King’s Avatar can be divided into group cultural participation and individual cultural participation.This chapter first describes the content and characteristics of fan group cultural participation,and then sorts out and analyzes the text of individual fan cultural participation.The following chapter looks at the text of The King’s Avatar from the perspective of fan cultural participation.Based on fans’ opinions,this part goes deep into the text,first interprets the theme and language of The King’s Avatar,and then analyzes the narrative characteristics of The King’s Avatar.The last chapter mainly analyzes the cultural characteristics of online game novels.This part discusses from two aspects.Firstly,it takes the gender of fans of The King’s Avatar as the entry point,and discusses gender awareness by combining the text content of the novel with fans’ cultural participation behavior.Secondly,starting from the relationship between subculture and mainstream culture,it discusses the collection and resistance of the subculture of online game novels.The conclusion part discusses the main points and shortcomings of this research,and discusses the thinking of future research. |
