Using the village of Dananpo in Henan Province as a case study, this thesis divides the media images in the construction of the art township into two types of subjects based on their function: production(government agencies, operations and art workers)and reproduction(professional media and tourists).Using multiple subjects’ image material in the Internet medium as the main research sample, the image material was coded using NVivo and analysed using methods such as chi-square tests,co-occurrence network analysis and image visualisation analysis tools.Text was used as a secondary, using KH Coder for feature word extraction and lexical co-occurrence network analysis to synthesise the media image production of Art Township Construction multi-subjects.The study uses the computer programming term "asynchrony" as a metaphor for the production of multi-subject media images in the construction of China’s artistic townships. As opposed to subjective modes of behaviour or power relations such as "dominant" or "dominant-co-directive","asynchrony" emphasises consensus-based event promotion and mobilisation and cooperation across subjects. The study finds that the government-supported asynchronous media image production model has a clear division of responsibilities and a decoupled asynchronous character.Government agencies are responsible for the overall planning of the region, operations are responsible for the deployment of resources, and artists are responsible for the production of experience-based content. The three are in a dynamic asynchronous production relationship, working together on the visual images of the countryside in a logical line of coexistence between publicity, aesthetics and utility, under the strategy of "holistic aesthetics".At the same time, each subject is confronted with the complex demands of scheduling. In the media image reproduction relationship, the professional media and the tourists focus on the artists and the tourists themselves respectively, presenting a complementary asynchronous production model. At the same time, based on the consensus mechanism in the structure of this system, the media reinforces the symbols of "person-space,space-sunlight" and the overall symbol of "art township construction" through the selection of professional techniques and cross-border connections. The visitor is presented with an asynchronous ideal in the intercepted images through "pleasurable technology".Finally,in the conclusion and outlook, while reflecting on the findings of the study, the author revisits the more controversial issues of "subject" and "economy" in previous studies of artistic township construction. In this case, the tourist has become part of the new "subject".From the perspective of mediated image production, some suggestions are made for the transformation of the aesthetic economy that is taking place in the village of Dananpo.
