Study On Seal Cutting Exhibition In The Early 21st Century

The exhibition of seal cutting is an important form of artistic creation of seal cutting.Participating in the exhibition can test and improve the artistic creation level of seal cutting artists.This paper mainly takes the seal cutting exhibitions sponsored by China Calligraphy Association and Xiling Seal Society from 2000 to 2021 as the research object,and analyzes the characteristics of seal cutting exhibitions as well as the characteristics of the styles and types.The Chinese Calligraphers’ Association and Xiling Seal Society,as the most authoritative official societies,exhibited and awarded works basically represent the highest level of contemporary seal cutting exhibitions and contemporary seal cutting style characteristics.This paper mainly adopts data analysis method,chart method,statistical method,induction method and other research methods,and draws conclusions through analysis and induction based on quantitative research.The article is divided into five chapters.Firstly,the present situation of seal cutting exhibition in the past 20 years is analyzed.The creation level of seal cutting exhibition authors shows a trend of gradual improvement,and more and more exhibitions of diversified forms and high quality are presented.Secondly,statistical analysis is made on the age of the exhibition-based authors.The results show that the age of exhibition-based authors gradually presents a younger trend.This paper focuses on the analysis of the creation style characteristics of seal cutting exhibition,from the past 20 years reflected in the style characteristics of seal cutting exhibition,there is an obvious trend of diversification,mainly the ancient seal,Han seal,Ming and Qing school seal,bird and insect seal seal,Tang and Song Dynasty Zhu Wen seal,Qin seal,oracle seal,fine Zhu wen seal,contemporary seal style and other style characteristics.Finally,the paper analyzes the problems existing in the seal cutting art exhibition,and points out that on the one hand,the seal cutting exhibition has a positive effect on promoting the development of seal cutting,on the other hand,the exhibition entry and award criteria of seal cutting exhibition have a profound impact on the development of seal cutting style,but also bring some negative effects on the contemporary seal cutting creation.Such as some eager for quick success and instant benefits,too much attention to form innovation,style assimilation,away from the tradition and other issues.The future development of seal cutting exhibition needs the joint efforts of the exhibition planning team and the contemporary creators of seal cutting art.The exhibition planning needs to be more mature and perfect,the seal cutting creative group needs to continue to explore and innovate,and the style orientation of the award-winning works should emphasize more emphasis on tradition.The main innovation of this paper is to analyze the characteristics and style characteristics of the contemporary seal cutting exhibition through detailed data analysis and quantitative research methods,and reflect on the form and style orientation of the contemporary seal cutting exhibition,and put forward a reasonable idea.The change of the exhibition hall environment has put forward higher requirements for the artistic creation of seal cutting.Analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of seal cutting exhibition,can be all aspects,multi-level exhibition activities have a clearer understanding,so as to clarify the future development direction of seal cutting exhibition,find suitable for the sustainable development of contemporary seal cutting art creation way.
