A Study On The Design Translation Of Zodiac Culture In Public Art Under The Threshold Of Semiotics

With the improvement of human material production and science and technology,the cultural industry has continued to develop.Semiotics,as an interdisciplinary discipline,has been widely used in all walks of life.Its semiotic system can help us to explore the cultural connotations and cultural symbols of the zodiac in a more scientific and in-depth manner,and the support of relevant national policies has provided a broader space for the development of zodiac culture.This project will take semiotics as a theoretical perspective.This paper provides a special analysis of the twelve zodiac signs public art from the semiotics of semantic construction,semantic perspective and semantic use perspective to provide a reliable basis for the design.From the cultural,figurative,colour and spatial perspectives of semiotic transcription,the shape,indications and colours of the zodiac are coded to make up for the shortcomings of the creative form and cultural omission of the zodiac element set,and through practical research attempts are made to design works that meet contemporary aesthetics and allow the intuitive images of modern design to resonate with long-standing Chinese cultural traditions.It provides ideas for the design of Chinese zodiac public art,diversifying and promoting the innovative development of zodiac culture in public art design.It also combines Touch Desingner digital media programming technology(a visual programming language)to present the work to the public in the form of visual interactive art,increasing the ’communication’ between the work and the audience,not only satisfying the cultural function of public art communication,but also enhancing the public’s perception of culture.It is hoped that the research in this paper will bring new ideas for the development of urban public art,and provide new design ideas for the integration of Zodiac culture into public art and other related design fields.
