Research On The Application Of Zodiac Elements In Illustration Design

The 12 zodiac signs,also known as genus phases,are unique cultural symbols in China,that is,rats,cows,tigers,rabbits,dragons,snakes,horses,sheep,monkeys,chickens,dogs,pigs corresponding to the twelve earth branches.The Chinese zodiac corresponds to the twelve branches in China’s traditional culture,forming a unique phase culture,which is a strange flower in China’s long history and culture,and has played a far-reaching influence on the Chinese nation.In daily life,people often associate their temperament,marriage luck,etc.with the zodiac sign.As a symbol of the New Year,the zodiac sign is endowed with auspicious meanings and is an important part of folk culture,and the zodiac image appears in people’s lives in various art forms.The author wants to add new vitality to the zodiac culture and convey the connotation of the times through innovative design of the visual shape of the zodiac and the use of digital painting.Based on the epochality and innovation of the visual culture of the zodiac,the author will design original designs with modern aesthetic and cultural value,so as to convey the unique essence of the zodiac culture.Giving traditional culture a new era characteristic,relying on the unique cultural value of the zodiac to enhance the commercial value of illustration design,this thesis consists of six parts,the first chapter is the introduction part,mainly describing the research background,significance and current research situation;The second chapter mainly introduces the origin development of the zodiac and the manifestations of the zodiac;Chapter 3 mainly summarizes the art of illustration and the analysis of zodiac theme illustration works;Chapter 4 mainly analyzes the application of zodiac signs in illustration design;The content of Chapter 5is mainly the design practice of zodiac in illustration design;Finally,the concluding part focuses on the conclusions and future prospects of the research on this topic.
