Transcendence And Degradation: The Paradox Of Aesthetic Modernity From The Perspective Of Marxist Philosophy

As a part of modernity,aesthetic modernity is the modernity in the field of aesthetics.However,it not only has the value of literary and artistic criticism,but also relates to the reality and state of human existence.As pointed out by Zhou Xian,aesthetic modernity contains profound humanitarian connotations,because in the process of modernity from differentiation to division,aesthetic modernity not only gradually has an irreparable split with bourgeois modernity,It also formed a sharp opposition to it,which not only gradually established the image of a critic defending human subjectivity,but also highlighted its own transcendence of bourgeois modernity.However,through the exploration of aesthetic modernity and its journey,we can find that as the consequences of modernity continue to emerge and people’s reflection continues to deepen,aesthetic modernity has become a paradoxical existence,and this paradox not only exists in its inherent nature of resisting bourgeois modernity,but also runs through its entire development process.Firstly,from the perspective of aesthetic modernity itself,it not only has a strong relativity due to its temporal nature,but also is in a tension between temporality and eternity.In addition,its adherence to self-discipline has a strong abstraction,which makes its specific development have different and even internal possibilities that contradict its transcendent purpose.Secondly,in the postmodern situation,aesthetic modernity has changed from pessimistic and desperate modernism to postmodernism,which mocks everything.Although it aims at modernity itself and attempts to thoroughly criticize and subvert modernity,it also eliminates its own transcendence in the cancellation of various original standards,thus,compared with the image of the critic of modernism,it has become the conspirator of bourgeois modernity,It presents a paradoxical transformation from transcendence to sinking,which not only arouses suspicion and dissatisfaction,but also presents a chaotic situation with many problems in our real emotional life.In this regard,from the perspective of Marxist philosophy,this paper first combs the internal paradox of aesthetic modernity to clarify the definition and characteristics of aesthetic modernity,indicate the potential of its transcendence,and seek the internal basis for understanding and transcending its paradoxical transformation;Secondly,starting from the changes in modern society,this paper analyzes the reality of aesthetic modernity,in order to demonstrate its paradoxical transformation and practical consequences from transcendence to decline,and to demonstrate the necessity of Marxist philosophy intervention;Finally,aiming at the internal paradox and realistic situation of aesthetic modernity,starting from historical materialism,while clarifying the realistic basis of its problems and reflecting on its shortcomings in criticism,we try to make aesthetic modernity and its criticism enter the field of social practice from the abstract field of pure art,so as to "realize" its "redemption",which not only enables it to maintain its own tension and get out of the paradoxical realistic situation,And find a more promising future prospect.
