| Modernity is a hot issue of the present philosophical thoughts.How does it come into being? What methods can be applied toelaborate the Modernity? How can we approach it appropriately? Inretrospect of thinking pattern of rationalism built on the structure ofenlightenment rationality and the basic views on the issue ofModernity, the paper concludes that the self-retrospection ofrationalism doesn't achieve the purpose of rescuing enlightenmentrationality. Therefore, we can observe its transcending degree torationalism and elaborate its reasonability from the perspective ofphilosophical practice diversion in Marxism. A strategy ofCommunism can be concluded to rescue the issue of Modernity in thefuture. How can we achieve Communism? When confronting such aquestion, first of all, we have to start from practice, which is thephilosophical diversion of theme in Marxism.From the very beginning, rationalism in the west viewsrationality as authority, which creates a dilemma for itself. Later on,Hegel initially conducts introspection in the internal system ofrationalism. These constitute a clear clue of the whole rationalismmodernity in the western countries. The process of shifting fromself-inflation to self-examination fails to salvage modernity itself.Marx uses practice as the breakthrough point of approachingModernity. We can find his theoretic ground and ethic concernseverywhere in his philosophical texts, such as correcting the authorityof enlightenment rationality, rejecting the tendency ofinstrumentalism, paying attention to the subsistence of disadvantagedgroup, reflection of historical view etc. His purpose is to transcendmodernity thinking pattern of traditional rationalism, and to providethe possibility of rescuing those people who are shackled by the issue of modernity.Basically, to criticize is simply a means, to salvage is the purpose.So the basic conclusion will bring more thinking resources to postmodern philosophical thoughts. Besides, it helps us find variouspractical problems cropping up in the process of modernization drivein China. Accordingly, it will offer feasible tactics. On the one hand,this will contribute to new growing points in the research of MarxistPhilosophy; on the other hand, its conclusion will provide guidanceand supervision to the historic theme "the great revitalization of China,and building a well-off society in an all round way".
