Vocabulary teaching has always been the focus of teaching Chinese as a foreign language. In the vocabulary teaching of Chinese as a foreign language, teachers and students will inevitably encounter the same meaning or expression between words, among which the words with the same or similar meaning and the same syllable are called synonyms.Synonyms of the same morpheme, single syllable and disyllabic syllable have some undistinguishable differences and correlations in their semantic features, grammatical functions and ways of forming synonyms.Based on the synonymous monosyllabic and disyllabic synonymous nouns of the same morpheme and disyllabic synonymous nouns selected from Ladder Chinese Intermediate Listening I,this paper tries to grasp some differences and relations between them. This paper is divided into five chapters:The introduction section mainly introduces the reasons for writing this topic through the author’s personal experience in the teaching process, analyzes in detail some of the previous arguments and clever ideas, and introduces the research results related to this topic in China. This article analyzes the important reasons and necessity of studying homomorphemic monosyllabic synonymous nouns from the perspectives of ontology research and acquisition, and discusses the purpose and significance of this research topic. Finally,a conceptual definition was provided for the object of this study, and methods and ideas for the research were proposed. The first chapter is an overview of errors in the acquisition of homophones, monosyllabic nouns. It mainly uses the results of students’ questionnaire surveys to identify the current situation of errors and analyze the types of errors, laying a foundation for the next chapter to analyze the reasons for students’ errors.Chapter 2 mainly analyzes the reasons for errors in homophones, monosyllabic synonymous nouns in classroom or writing from four aspects: negative transfer of mother tongue, negative transfer of target language knowledge, teacher teaching, and student learning. The third chapter is based on the first and second chapters to create a new teaching strategy to address the errors caused by international students. The starting points for these teaching strategies are related to vocabulary ontology, the collision between two languages, the application of new teaching methods, the reference of domestic teaching models, and textbook writing. In Chapter 4,three simulation designs were conducted for the teaching of homophones, monosyllabic, and synonymous nouns by drawing on the teaching strategies provided in Chapter 3 and attempting new teaching methods, providing some new ideas for the teaching of synonyms in Chinese as a foreign language.
